Dealing with Doctor's Office

P.S. If you want to have the surgery ASAP, you can pick up all the doctor's clearance letters and hand-carry them yourself to Dr. Simon's office, so that they will have a full package to submit to your insurance when the time comes. If you don't have the time to do this, you will have to call all the other doctor's offices and ask them to mail copies to you and then when you get them all, mail or hand carry them in one package to the doctor of your choice. (Make copies first!) Don't leave it up to the clearance doctors' staffs to mail the letters directly to your surgeon - it will make extra work for you to keep checking if the surgeon's office has received them yet. If YOU get them all sent directly to you, then you will know whose office to bug and can bug them directly! It puts YOU in control, instead of some underpaid little receptionist at some doctor's office who has 100 phone calls a day to deal with and a million things to follow up on. Just my two cents!
