Anyone going?

Bridges St Luke's General Support Meeting tonight at 6:30 in their Education Center. I'm going to be there.  Anyone want to meet me there?  Fang & Juarez patients plus any support buds.   IF someone had surgery somewhere else and wants to go as my guest then just let me know. C U there!

Man I cant go to any of the support groups just yet... Do they have groups made for us pre-opers?

You can go to the Scottsdale Bariatric support groups, they have one for the range from preop to 4 months post op. I can't remember the day, 3rd monday or something like that. I can't go because I live 3 hours from Scottsdale.

Hey Cindy! Pre Ops are welcome at most support groups!  I was at Bridges St Luke's last night and there were a couple of pre-ops.  They glean great info!  ......  The Chandler Support Group, the Prescott, the Tucson, the Westside (probably closest to you), Dr. Schlesinger's (3rd Sat in afternoon at Tatum and the 101), Banner Gateway, Mt Vista and I think the Mayo groups are open to everyone! No need to wait!  I went to support groups at least 6 months ahead of my surgery! Hey!  Pre-Ops are definitely welcome to the Vitalady Meet and Greet on the 22nd! C U soon!

Hi- You not only CAN, you SHOULD! They are helpful - people discuss all sorts of relevent things of interest to you as a pre-op, and you get to meet people who might be your surgery buddies (walking laps in the hospital after surgery, on hte same days as you...). Plenty of people with questions, answersm and the same fears, anticipation, and dreams as you. Scottsdale Bariatric does have a pre-op to 4 months post-op group. It meets 6pm on the 1st Monday and 3rd Wednesday of each month.  The groups meet in the conference rooms on hte main floor, south end,  of Scottsdale HEalthcare, Shea Campus.  There is so much to be learned and gained at the groups. They don't call 'em "support groups" for nothing!  I highly recommend you go.  Maxine

Cindy the pre op one at SHC is awesome.  I have attended them pre op.  Very Very helpful!

I'm headed out to the Banner Gateway support meeting.  It's at 4:30.  GREAT mtg!  (in a conf room just past the cafeteria) Hope to C some of you there!
