almost newbie

Hi, my name is Eydie and I live in Alberta , Canada.  I am planning on having the RNY with Dr. Blackstone in Oct.  I am looking for all kinds of input and info on the surgery and what to expect after.  I really need to do something to get my life back. I have diabetes, high blood pressure , complications from the diabetes etc. and up until a year ago didn't feel too bad.  This year has been awful and my feet are sore all the time...well..looking forward to hearing from you all and being a part of this great group.  Eydie
