usually a lap RNY is 2 days but the dr is going to let you know when its time to go home, usually if you have no temperature, passing gas, tolerating the cute little diet they give you. They will xray your stomach first to make sure you have no leaks, and you can walk safely. Then your usually ready to go. Its all about you after surgery. You need to take care of your self. you will have some post op pain I didnt think it was bad at all. They gave me liquid lortab. They give you pain meds so dont worry about that.  You will do great

I have heard that it is more about the little things like customer service types things and not the major things.  When I was thinking about WLS, and interviewing doctors, I asked the same questions because I has heard the same thing. HTH, Kim Pervez Tempe, AZ
