I would have loved to make it to the support group but I worked 10 hours then had to stand inline to vote. RRRRRrrrr it took an hour to get through the line. Anyway I hope I can manage to make it to other meetings but I am starting school soon and dont know if I can fit it into my schedule.

Just got home. Just got this message. I think I need to knock my self up side the head. I cannot seem to remember when the meetings are. Hopefully I can catch the next one. I would have loved to make it to this one.

No problem!  We'll catch you next time! I really enjoy the facilitator of the Gateway group.  She's their psych and leads with such an informative and personable mannerism.  I felt like I had a personal therapy session tonight! One girlfriend there (can't remember names  ) nailed some of my issues right on the nose with a few of her statements!  .....  I'm feeling "challenged" about dealing with a goal weight and maintaining it.  She said "most of us spend our lives either losing or gaining weight and don't know how to maintain"!!!  ......  I thought it was a profound statement!  ....  I seriously didn't know what to do with myself last time I was at goal and I'm getting a little worried about it this time around.  I don't know how to deal with feelng my ribs poke through, having no behind cushion, and not having a muffin top   I'm sure that sounds pitiful to some of you!  ......I LOVE the long list of all the things we can do when we lose weight but .......how do you maintain????  (not physically....mentally?) I'm babbling.....anyone have a thought on my whackiness?

Joyce...last night was a great group! Obviously, you and I are dealing with some of the same kinds of anxieties and struggles. Goal met, now what? Diet and worry about regain for the rest of our lives? I think what I took away from it was that I need to try to set some new goals that aren't neccessarily weight related. And oh yeah, what was said about how we are always either gaining or losing was so true. I also liked the idea of trying to accept that the scale will swing back and forth a little - like a pendulum - and as long as I make little corrections when I see myself moving off track - like say three or four pounds up, i can manage and get by like a, dare I say it: "normal" person does.... Let me know on the wildflower hike, I am definately interested! I've heard the superstition foothills should start popping in another week or two...
