Yes, I will check into it for after the weight lose, something I will not even look into under I am at a normal weight.  It might work for lisa and a lot less pain than what I went through. I meant to say High protein/low carb and miss typed that.  Will I be on all liquids for the two weeks before also?  I know all this will be answer Tuesday night, but just a wondering. Hope you are feeling better and not need as many pain meds. hugs, Kim

Try Banner Health at Dobson and 60th, there sleep study places wasn't crepy at all. I have both, but more OSA that the central, I think the central types that I have is due to 1 of the 20 pills I take per day.  I have a lot of health problems.  Some weight loss will take care of and some wls will not help at all, like my fibro or my IC (it is a sister disease of fibro but of the bladder, feels like a bladder infection that doesn't really go away), I am in remission w/ the IC, but still have to take 4 pills per days as a prevention. Anyway, get the sleep study done and if you still have it see if you can have the surgery that Joyce is talking about, I will read up on it, anything would be better than what I went throught. Kim

Good luck and let us know how it goes.  I know for cash pay they offer a large discount at hospitals.  Keep us posted and don't give up.

I know that the Weight Loss Institute of Arizona (www.wliaz.com) does give a cash discount.  This is true even if you get a loan.  They offer two loan programs or you could use your own. They can do everything on the computer on your first appointment.  It's really fast and takes the stress off for sure.  One good thing about being a cash pay patient also is that you bypass (pardon the pun) all of the insurance hurdles that take months and months.  They have people that get their surgery very quickly when they are cash pay.

Thanks,

Clay

They are just so expensive compared to everyone else in town.  I will most likely use Terry Simpson, he is considered the "Lap-Band king" of Arizona.  But, I like WLIAZ a little better because I like the are little better on some area like there are more detailed, which (I am a type A person) and there closer to my house.  I know I really should call and go in, but, I  have already seen Simpson. I like the fact that Orris and his staff look you offer from head to toe before surgery, I was really surprised w/ Simpson's office told me that I wasn't even doing to be on a pre-surgery diet.  I remember Dr. Orris saying that the purpose was to shrink the liver and (also read elsewhere) that is makes surgery easier. I was told that they charge $500.00 for there fills, and Simpson charges 100.00--that will really add up.  When I wen to there meeting, I thought I was insurnace and asked totally different questions, so maybe I should email them and go in and see what they offer for cash patients and all. How long ago did you have your surgery?  How much weight have you lost?  I have lost almost 20 lbs since Cmas on my own and just taking better care of myself.  How do you like your Band?  What do you like/dislike about the band? Thanks for your info! Kim Pervez
