After surgery recovery

I am scheduled for surgery on 11/21----and need to be back to work in two weeks. I know everyone is different, but is this even a possibility?????

Are you having a lap RNY ? What type of work do you do ? I was out for 4 weeks but I believe the office is signing off on 3 weeks for new patients. I have a sit down job that doesn't require any lifting. I might have been able to do it in 3 weeks but I don't think I would have had the energy at 2. I was cleared to drive a week post op but stayed very close to home.

Hi Pat, I have an office job running files on a computer all day. I went back to work after three weeks. I probably could have gone back at two,but I had a infection in one of my incisions. so spent a lot of my day packing and unpacking it. Melissa
