Does anyone know of a good doctor in the North Phoenix area? I need my cardiac clearance. I have so many doctor appointments right now I need a book to keep track.

Hi Pam! Yes, get a good date book -- you'll need it!! I used Dr. Stephen Cantor in Prescott - he was easy to get into and very supportive about wls. New calendars and date books are out now for 2007! It's going to be your year!!! Sheryl

Pam, I used Dr. Bhateja. He is at St. Lukes. I'm not sure if he is too far for you, but he is very thorough, and his office staff are very nice and competent. How are things going? My computer had a meltdown and had to be sent out to be fixed. I'm back now, but still recovering my files. Randi

I want someone closer. There are a lot of doctors off Bell so I am looking there right now. I'm seeing my primary tomorrow, psych eval on Sat. Oct 7th. Pulmonary on Oct. 13th. Back to the psych on Oct.27th and I need to get my EKG in during this time. I'm becoming a professional patient.

Your insurance membership services should be able to tell you of cardiologist in your area that take your insurance. Good luck!

Dr. Agnone, he's an Internal Medicine Specialist, right next door to Good Sam Hospital in Phx. Dr. Agnone will do a pre-op prep & testing on you and than give you a clearance for surgery (unless he finds something). If you are interested, his number is 602-258-5545

Thank you. I saw my primary doctor today and he gave me an EKG. He also sent me down for xrays for my chest along with doing a compete blood test about a month ago when I first started this journey which came out great. He said this may be enough for my clearance. I sure hope so.

Do you know who your surgeon is going to be?

Dr.Juarez. I already had my consultation with him about 2 weeks ago. I found him to be very nice.

When I got my paperwork after I was approved it said not to have an EKG. I had a stress test. In fact I had a chemical stress test because I couldn't breathe while doing the treadmill. I was told by Heather that this is what they were looking for. Also, make sure that the cardiologist writes a clearance letter with his signature saying that he/she approves that you have the surgery. Talk to Heather once you are approved and make sure she has everything she needs and make sure you have copies of every tests/letter you have sent them.
