How long after GB RNY surgery can you fly on an airplane?

Becky, It really depends on your surgeon. I know some that traveled in 6 weeks and others that waited months. Everyone of us is different and we do different in surgery. So your surgeon is the best one to give you this answer. Clara

Hi Becky, My sis in law had her surgery in Tijuana and her surgery was on a Friday and we flew home on a Monday, but this is her surgeon, like the previous poster stated, it really is up to your surgeon, but if you do fly to soon after your surgery may I suggest a extender to keep the belt from your sutures that way it isn't to uncomfortable on your stomach.
