Fills?

Hi, I keep seeing postings that refer to "fills". What is that? Aimee

Fills are required when a person has a lap-band adjustment. The band can be filled with saline from a "port" located just under the skin. When the patient needs additional "restriction" they can request a "fill" that will tighten the ring around the upper "pouch" of the stomach. If there is too much restriction, some of the saline can also be removed to open the pouch to allow more food to pass. Hope this helps. Robin
