I think everyone had already gone way before your post. Seems they've all headed for Facebook Land.

Maybe we should ask Peaches to hold a memorial service for our dearly departed Board?

Judging by the responses and/or activity on this board, almost everyone washed away in the Great Christmas Flood of 2009.

I will miss you all.

Yes my dear, you do have so much to be thankful for, as we all do. I guess I didn't think your recovery would be so long, and for that I am sorry. But, I'm sure you will be getting around much better soon. You're one strong lady, that's for sure!

Thank you for the little daily affermations you've been sending. I do appreciate them, even if I don't get a chance to respond.

Hugs and health!

Susan

Well Merry Christmas a couple of days late and Happy New Year a couple of days early. I hope everyone is enjoying this season of family, fun, and food good and bad. LOL I am still hurting and being friends with the pain pills. Still taking little baby steps. I can drive with one hand and just for short distances. I know God is in the middle of all this, so I'm just going to be content and thankful. Enjoy this holidy season and remember you can't spell Christmas without Christ!

Topic: Crossing Over to Transfer Addictions...VERY BAD TIME OF THE YEAR!
REMINDER....

http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/crossingtotransferaddictions/

Hi All,

There is a new OH Online Support Group. The above link will get you there.
It's called
Crossing Over to Transfer Addictions.

This group discusses the issue of transfer addictions (also known as cross addictions) after weight loss surgery. there are millions of people who have undergone gastric bypass who are now dealing with issues of addiction transfer.

For a number of people, giving up overeating leads to adoption of a new compulsion.

Addiction transfer occurs when someone is unable or unwilling to rely on one compulsion (for us, it was food) and so switches to a new compulsion (alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, shopping, internet, porn, etc) due to not having dealt with the underlying issue behind the compulsion.

***Please feel free (and safe) to join and discuss any and/all issues you have regarding Transfer Addiction. ***

WE WILL SUPPORT EACH OTHER WITHOUT JUDGEMENT!
