Topic: RE: Good morning! Anybody have any really good New Year resolutions?

I would really like to stop procrastinating.

I'd also like to get more structured with my sleep schedule and my overall LIFE schedule in general.  It's been a really nerve-wrecking few weeks/months for me and it really has to stop.

Let me see... what else...

Start to exercise again.

Work harder.

Relax more.

Etc, etc, etc.

I think it was playing hide and seek. Late during the night we had some sleet and snow but it was gone before you could see it. LOL I have heard that saying too about the clean house stuff. I have tried that my house is always in need of being cleaned, so when I get the cleaning feeling I clean and when I don't oh well.... LOL

Lean not to your own understanding, let God explain it.

Sybul,
As much as I love you, I must say, I dont want any snow.  I hope you get your snow, we have fog and rain and cold but no snow.  We live on the second highest elevation in Dallas County and if it snows, it usually sticks, and then Im stranded!!!
I do hope you get all of your snow, and mine and Mikes as well!!!

Have a great day, its housecleaning day for me as well.  Sister is coming and we are going to continue this remodeling effort!!

Off to fix breakfast,
Rhonda D.

I was all excited and ready for some more snow and woke up to light rain with a few soggy flurries mixed in.  Oh well.  I'm behind on my house cleaning.  Every year I try to deep clean the whole house before the new year.  Supposedly, if you start the New Year with a clean house it will stay that way all year and if you start with a messy house, well, you get the picture.  I hope I'm not going to be doomed to a messy place all year, lol.  How about a weather report?  Is anybody getting any snow this morning?  Ya'll have a glorious day.

Congratulations Mama Peaches!   With all you've been though it's no wonder it slipped by.  I don't think I will ever go the plastic surgery route.  I am too much of a chicken, lol.  I am just thanking God for getting to the point where I feel I have my life back and look forward to each new day instead of dreading it, lol.  Love ya, Sybul

Sounds like a good list to me.  Just don't get so far away from your computer that your buddies here don't ever hear from you, lol.  We love you too much for that.  Sounds like ya'll had a really fun Christmas.  I'm feeling the urge for a short road trip to Houston/Baytown to see my sisters.  They always come up here so I figure it's my turn to go see them.  Maybe in a couple of months I can work it out with my schedule at work.  I am really homesick for them.  This is our first Christmas without Val's mom.  I miss the old bat.  She could be hell on wheels when she got going but she was like a mother to me the last years she was here.  I miss my old friend.

You can do it Sybul.

I had an interesting Tuesday. I got my Holter...Event Cardiac Monitor in the mail. I was having issues in trying to connect it so I took it to work with me and my friend Tammy helped me with it. So the guys saw 2 girls go into a single bathroom and saw us coming out laughing. It was funny her trying to help me put on the 2 leads and the pads and then the clip on the monitor the size of a pager.

This is day one of 30 days of heart monitoring. On January 15 I am going to be doing an ambulatory EEG for the weekend. Will the fun ever end? I am preop. I have dizzy spell issues and got to get to the bottom of that before going to see Dr. John Baker.

I appreciate all the prayers from everyone. I am learning so much from everyone.

Blessings....Brenda

You're right.  Taking things one day at a time is the best we can do.  I too am grateful for my family, our home as humble as it may be, and for all the love that fills it.  I've been trying to be more positive about everything lately.  It was obvious that stressing out over things we cannot change doesn't make things any better, just more stressful.
