Hello Arkansas Forum.  I hope everyone has a great new year.  I realize that my question might also need to be posted on the insurance board, but I wanted to present it directly to the Arkansas board members first.  My daughter has HealthAdvantage through her job as a teacher in Arkansas.  Has anyone had ANY experience with HealthAdvantage Arkansas in either covering or refusing to cover weight loss surgery for morbid obesity?  My own insurance does cover it and I am in the process of working through the 6 month diet/excercise requirement now.  My adult daughter has been asking questions and is very interested in it for herself.  I told her I would see what information I could get from OH site.  Thanks for any information!

Wow, that's a long time to be hooked up to a holter.  Do you transmit over the phone every so often?  It's amazing how quickly things change in medicine.  I hope everything comes out ok for you.  The EEG ought to be interesting.  Especially if you want to go out in public, lol.  I wonder if maybe they don't have to hook up quite as many leads to your head as they used to?  I know it sounds like a lot but jumping through all the hoops before surgery will assure a better outcome and no surprises to you or your doctor.  Unfortunately by the time most of us get to where we are before surgery, we have stresses our bodies to the point that this is sometimes a last chance to have a normal, longer life.  I'll be thinking of you and hoping for the best.

It's great to hear from you!  I can totally understand about the busy holiday season - though not to the extent you've had it I'm sure. 

I am hoping that Charles gets much better and soon.  My thoughts are with you guys.  Remember to take care of YOU too during this time.

I'm glad there's no snow and WISH that it would get warmer soon... really soon.  Dryer would be nice.  But warmer is a must at this point.
