I am here I promise, just been SICK SICK SICK! I got the H1N1 and Type A regular flu the weekend before Christmas, took my meds and finshed the Zpac and Tamiflu on Wednesday, headed to Louisiana on Thursday, Christmas Eve and was thrilled to be feeling better. Had an enjoyable Cajun Christmas and woke up Saturday morning with a scratchy throat, that let to chest congestion on Sunday and just plain old evil sickness this past week, went to the doctor on Thursday and felt I needed to be in the hospital I felt so bad. Well sinus infection, 2 ears infected and crap in my chest and just all over pain! I got antibiotics and some pain meds and have been resting all weekend so I can make it back to work tomorrow. I hope everyone is well and I am thanking God for getting me through this illness.
Now on another note, you remember how when we were all overweight/or SMO and you would get sick and it was because you were fat and your body had to work harder, heard that a long time! Well the other day with all my sickness and not feeling well, my own mother who is a nurse actually said to me that I think this surgery has just done your body in and your immnune system will never recover, WTF? I swear some of us are just damned if we do and damned if we don't, anyone else ever feel this way? I lose the weight and still it is not good enough, lol!
All opinions welcome, Best Wishes for a healthy and happy new year everyone!

Holler, maybe we can find a neutral spot.

Well, we made it through the holidays. Now it's time to start thinking about getting ready to put in the spring garden. Last year we didn't end up with anything except a few tomatoes with all that was going on healthwise with me. We're going to start early with spinich, brocolli, brussel sprouts and some other things this year. I am going to get my gourds and louffa started early this year so they have time to make well too. I've already been talking to hubby about throwing up that greenhouse he's been promising me. It doesn't have to be anything elaborate. Just something I can get my starts going in so I don't have the kitchen table covered up with everything like I usually do, lol. I'm going to go fish shopping too today. I set up a 55 gallon aquarium about two months ago and still don't have any fish in it yet. I need some more goldfish for the pond too but I think I'm going to wait a little longer for that. Our land line has finally been working for a whole week. We got it reconnected again since our cell phone reception is so poor here. It would w.rk one minute and go dead the next. This has gone on for a month. They came out several times and I think this time they finally got it fixed. I'm really looking forward to spring this year. I plan to spend a lot of time outdoors. Ya'll have a good weekend.
I have noticed that many members are from central and northwest arkansas. Are there any of you who live in the southeast part of Arkansas? Would love to make connections with local members.
As I sit here with tears running down my face, I want you to know I love you. You are my inspiration to keep going on days I wanna lay down and give up. That song is soooo true. W/O Him where would we be?? Not a good thought. 2009 was truly a year of trials for us all, but we have stuck together, and been blessed thru it.
I hope that 2010 is the best year that you have ever experienced, and when it is over you can say, "This has truly been MY year"
Love you much,
By HIS stripes we are healed!!

I'm afraid as far as I know, HealthAdvantage doesn't cover ANY sort of WLS. My husband is a State employee, but the teachers coverage might be different, as I have compared notes with teachers I know. Your best bet is to call the insurance company and see what they say. I've been known to be wrong before....lol
Good luck to both of you!
