I will have to take a look at the book!  Sounds like useful info.

Yet another day in paradise - my sick little girlie still has a fever, but she has made a full recovery otherwise and is back to her normal, silly self.  My boy is a little stuffy and has a sore throat, so I let him have a day at home, too.  They felt good enough to squabble, so I'm not terribly worried about them, ha ha.  I did get a lot accomplished for work!  I managed to wrangle a loaner laptop and got quite a bit done.

No running today, I was really tired.  Probably my body reacting to stress and I might be fighting off whatever bug the kids are carrying.  I will try again tomorrow. :-)

Warning: My food today was not exemplary.  Probably because I was lazy and just grabbed things... tomorrow will be better, especially if I'm back at work.  Sitting around the house is not good for my diet!  Anyway, it's ugly but honest.

Breakfast:
melba toast
2 slices deli ham
weigh****chers twinkie
1 piece chocolate

Lunch:
Hot dog
ice cream sandwich

Snack:
Coffee w/milk
more melba toast
banana

Dinner:
salad w/chicken <-- the one bright spot in my day
1 piece chocolate
doritos

You might try cutting the pills in half. Might make you less aprehensive of taking them. Keep up the good work by following all of your doctor's orders to the letter.

Let us know your progress. We are here for you

Good morning crew mates, hope you are starting off the day well!

I got a new edition from the Eat This, Not That series yesterday.  It's  Cook This, Not That, and takes restaurant food, re does the ingredients to make then healthier, and then tells you not only how many calories you save by cooking the dish at home, but how much $$ you save by eating at home and not out. GREAT recipes and tips!  I recommend to anyone who eats. Beware, the nut info does not include the protein count, just calorie, fat and sodium, so you'll have to make those determinations on your own

Here's my day as I have planned it. Let's see what shakes out   lol

I almost didn't make it!

Rough day today - my baby girl is now sick with a flu-like bug and Grandma is still hanging on.  Mom and Uncle hired a night nurse to take some of the burden off everyone, truly a blessing since Grandma still tries to get out of bed when she gets worked up.  I'm still praying for peace for all of us.  My eating was okay, but it was not as good as it could have been - and no wine!  A victory in itself considering the day's numerous challenges, ha ha.

I am going to try for a run tomorrow - hopefully 3 miles.  Now for food:

Breakfast:
Egg muffin w/cheese & bacon
Coffee

Lunch:
popcorn chicken from Sonic

Snacks:
Banana
turkey/ham sandwich
a couple crackers
chocolate

Dinner:
Salad
Egg roll (cooked in oven)
praline

Topic: RE: Doctor Ratings and Complaints
Do you know anyone who works in surgery where this doctor works?  That's one of the best ways to find out.  I can tell you about the ones at Baptist in LR, although I don't know if there would be any legal problems if I said something someone didn't like.  Gibbs and Baker are both excellent.  One way you can find out is to see what hospitals they can work at.  For example, if you're a doctor in Little Rock but have lost your priveleges at Baptist and St. Vincent's, that might be a red flag.  Good luck to you.  You are very smart to make sure you're getting a good surgeon.

I am home now...  I really miss my morphine!!  The pain pills are a bit hard to swallow right now outta fear of swallowing too much too soon, and the fact my throat still feels like sandpaper!  Thanks for all the well wishes.

Well, there's almost no reason to even read here anymore, is there? I feel like I pound my head against the wall all the time. Not the place it used to be, that's for sure!

Take care of yourself, and give a big Hi hug to Mr Mike, K?
