Topic: RE: late leaving the dock, what are you eating and a NEW recipe to try
Zipping in for a moment to post my slightly better day... I stayed at home AGAIN with the kids.  They're really fine, but the schools this year are militant about not keeping anyone with a temp over 99.0 - Little Mama was 99.6 and Big Dog was 99.4.  Understandable with the flu scare, but GAH, we're going stir crazy.  I'm not even medicating the fever anymore; I tend toward the school of thought where if they don't *feel* bad, I let the temp burn out the germs.  Now, with the weather, looks like we'll be cooped up another day, but it might be fun this way!

Here's my eats:

Breakfast:
English muffin / egg beater / cheese / bacon

Lunch:
Fake'un cheeseburger
strawberries, little bit of orange

Snacks:
PBJ
banana
apple
a few crackers
some chocolate

Dinner:
taquitos
a few chips & salsa

lots of water, too

Everybody stay warm and SAFE!!!!

Thanks for the response.  I went to a seminar last fall, but I think I was trying to absorb so much info that I guess the success/failure rate didn't sink in at the time.  I am actually using Dr. Gibbs!  I haven't met with him personally yet- hopefully that will come soon.  I have about a month and a half left on my six-month diet and excercise program.  Thanks again!  The more OH posts that I read, the better I feel with my choice of doctor.

Congrats!!!  Enjoy the ride, its one like you have never had before, but it will be worth it.  Mine was fast like that, did all my pre op stuff in January, they called me the last day in Jan, and I had surgery the 12 of Feb, 2007.  Best decision Ive ever made besides salvation and marrying my husband!!!

Keep us posted, we will clean off your spot on the losers bench!!

Oh Ann, what a blow about you sister on top of what you're going through with Charles. We're here for you whenever you can come here. Of course, my prayers are with you always.

Topic: Hey Ya'll
Sorry I haven't been on lately. I've been vey busy. I know some of you will remember I told you back in December that we found out my husband had colon cancer. Well, he had the surgery to remove the mass. They removed 12 inches of his colon. He is or was stage 3. Was in the hospital for eight days. He was really sick after coming home from the hospital. He is just now starting to feel better. But of course he started his chemo treatments this week.
He went in on Monday, did five and half hours of chemo. Came home with a pump that gives him constant feed into the IV. Went back Tuesday and did three more hours of chemo. Came home with the pump again. Went back wednesday so they could take the IV out.
We will do this every other week for a total of six treatments.
He is doing really well so far. I'm just hopeing that it doesn't make him too sick or that the fatigue isn't too bad. We will see.
On top of that, my sister called and told me she found out this week that she has breast cancer. So I'm helping her along because I am a breast cancer survivor, seven years out....whoo hooo!!!!
I know she will be fine. Just takes a lot of hard work and prayers.
So if you guys don't see me on here very much, I'm still here, just not HERE all the time. Hope everyone is doing well.
You all stay safe. Looks like bad weather coming our way.
Love ALL you guys!!!!

Ann

Oh my word...   My initial consult with Dr. Baker is February 11th, at 11 am!!!
Wow... when my sister called and  told me I was floored! NO MORE SMOKES FOR ME!
And to my suprise, I will be finding out tomarrow when my surgery date is. Man talk about fast, I wasnt looking for consult til April.
Storey now...
I was out riding with my friend, just getting out of the house when she called and my friend didnt seem to act too thrilled for me, because he was too quiet. I know, it is supposed to be all about him, and for one little minute it was all about me...
