Topic: RE: Rolling down the river---what are you eating

Oooh, once you get the recipe figured out, I will have to try those quiche cups, too.

I'm getting sick.  Doesn't it just figure?  I guess kissing my sick babies was a mistake.   Actually (maybe TMI) I always seem to get sick before my monthly visitor comes to town.  It's like a pregnancy test for me... waaah, I don't like it, though.

I've been eating pretty well, minus some miscellaneous chocolate and crackers here and there.  Been staying far away from the fast food - big victory for me!  I've been exploring healthier convenience foods - for instance, yesterday's lunch was a Green Giant broccoli and carrot single serve bowl and a few Tyson grilled chicken strips.  Good stuff!  I bought a slew of fruits and veggies, too.

The plan today is...

Breakfast:
Coffee - done
egg muffin sandwich - done

Lunch:
Chicken Noodle Soup

Snack:
Cheese and fruit or a Lean Cuisine, depending on my appetite

Dinner:
Maybe spaghetti, maybe more soup

Lots of liquids today... gotta wash this crud out of my body.

Everyone stay warm!

Avast and ahoy Maties!

Hope everyone on board is doing well with their eating. I'm hanging in there, not losing, but at least maintaining. Worked out for a solid 30 minutes on my Wii FitPlus. Boxed, marched, hula-hooped and trail biked. What fun!

I made the recipe I posted for the South Beach Diet crustless quiche cups and was a little dissapointed. Wanting to take some to work, I mixed up a double batch, but found they only filled 12 muffin cups. That was all well and good, but with two packages of spinach it was just too much spinach. They tasted great, but just too spinachy(is that a word?).  Might dump the batch and remake them as the recipe is written, see how those are. I'll let you know.

The plan for today:

latte

protein coffee

b- can't decided if I want to try another quiche or not. If not, it will be a bkfst burrito

latte

s--banana and pecans

l--Lean cuisine Baja Chicken Quesidilla

s- applesauce and cottage cheese

d- curried lamb meatballs w/ coucous

protein decaf coffee

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

I'm on facebook much more than I am on here nowadays too.

I don't think you set a bad example.  I wouldn't know you were even regaining except that you just said so!  (Of course I am not on here so much anymore - so I might miss a lot.)

I think everyone is feeling more down lately (about a variety of issues).  It is just so COLD that it's hard to get out and about and active, etc.  It is so cold outside that it's painful at time.  Seriously.  A lot of the time lately, I don't even want to go out the door in the morning because I know how bad the cold is going to be.  So I understand not wanting to get out and be active too.

Have you got a Wii?  I love my Wii and you can do that without going out of the house at all - exercise right in your living room!

We're already friends on facebook, so you have my cell # (on my info section of my profile page).  So you can holler at me anytime.

I have taken a leave of absence from OH. I do not want to be a bad exapmle to anyone with my weight re-gain. Since losing my job in July I have packed on 20 pounds. Lost my insurance and all meds I needed. I contacted Little Rock Dr's and well they must not want to see me either as it has been 3 or 4 months since I called to see if they would take me on as a post op for follow up since I have not really had any in 8 yrs. Guess I am screwed.

So to avoid being a Debby Downer I dont want to post on here and make new ops question the surgery and its wonderful benefits. I also feel like a failure and I am not a good example to set for anyone.

2010 is already a crappy year. Neighbors house burned down and damaged mine, insurance wont pay because its less than my deduct. My refrigerator has broke. Someone I knew from work died of the flu. My 16 yr old son is giving me fits...must be puberty. My gym membership expires in 3 weeks and I cant renew...not like I have went in months anyhow...but the tanning was nice. I have a ton of grey haiir and no money to color it....lol.....my depression is full blown, my thyroid is way off and my back pain and anxiety are all back as well as major head aches, I have no ins and no means to pay for lab work for thyroid. My weight is way up there....I am not far from my starting weight.

So anyhow, I wanted to say I love all of you but cant post on here anymore for now. I am on facebook. Tammy Buckwalter.

See ya around and if the scale starts dropping I may be back.
God Bless all of you wonderful people. Keep up the good work. You all look great.

You are doing better.,...good for you!

I tried making "protein" coffee today, and it's something you should think about. I took 1 tbs chocolate powder and mixed it with a couple of tbs coffee in a cup. After it was well blended, I finished filling the cup. I always use splenda and SF creamer. It was really good!  Added about 12 grams of protein and maybe 25 cals
