Topic: She Won!
Thank you everyone for your support and your vote. Katie is now the reigning Queen of Bacone College.
Katie had a very rough time with WLS at the beginning but things are so much better and I know a year ago she would have withdrawn from such a competition. She has taking the steps to make changes in her life all for the better. Thanks once again.

Topic: RE: Question about Wii Fit Plus
Well, it sounds like that is what I need to get. I get really bored with just plain excercising, other than walking. Thanks, Susan.
We are doing good. Charles has had his second round of chemo and is doing pretty good. He was pretty sick and very tired after the first one. He has done better this time. He just gets tired easily.
Got two inches of snow last night....woot!!
Speaking of the Wii, nobody in town(Hot Springs) has any. We've called everywhere. Best Buy said they are getting some in I guess tomorrow evening. He said they are getting five and they will be for sale at exactly when they open at 10 on Sunday morning. Ughhhhhh!! Wonder how many people will be waiting for the doors to open? I've also checked on line and different places and no one has any. Those that do, have jacked up the prices on them. Is everybody in the country buying a Wii right now!! Good grief.

Topic: RE: Question about Wii Fit Plus
I LOVE my Wii Fit Plus!!!!!!! As an old band geek, the marching band is really fun! I find that exercising isn't really strenous, although I'm sure there are games there that would be if I was to be coordinated enough to do them (more practice needed here!), but it's FUN and I do it, which is the most important thing, right?
The Fit Plus has quite a few more games than the regular Fit, but still has all of the original. So, you're getting more games for the same $$ you'd spend on the regular game.
Hope you and Charles are doing well and keeping warm!

Topic: rolling down the river, what are you eating??
Good morning Crewbies!
It's funny how my eating life has changes in 3 1/2 years. Gary's gone for 5 days, so I went to the store to stock up on "my" food. Before WLS it would be a few pints of Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream, and all sorts of crap. Last night I brought home cauliflower, brussel sprouts and pickled beets to go with my grilled chicken thighs.
Here's my day so far.
latte
protein coffee
Eggo LF WW waffle w/ pb and 2 thin slices bacon
s-?
l--crustless calzone
s--?
d-- grilled chicken thigh, sauteed cabbage w/ noodles, 2 pickled beets
s-???
Tell me, how has your grocery list changed since your journey began?

I give it a two thumbs up. It's my favorite. I like the original Wii fit best though.
Topic: RE: Little Rock area?
You were right, Susan!!! They called today. I've got a consult scheduled for next Wednesday, and a tentative surgery date of March 29th.

Topic: Question about Wii Fit Plus
We are getting a Wii and I was wondering about the Wii Fit Plus with the fit board. Any of you have it and use it? I was wondering if it is a good excercise source. I didn't want to invest the money for it if it is not worth is. Thanks

Helloooo! Looks like we're all back in action today. I confess, I hope that TODAY will be the only day this week I have to report to work. ;-) I have enjoyed the time at home.
I ran a 15k over the weekend, it kicked my butt. Only 3 1/2 weeks until the LR Marathon (I'm running the half).
Food's been hit and miss...
Breakfast was a Banana
Had some crackers for a snack
Half a turkey wrap for lunch (then some chocolate cake, arrgh)
I don't have dinner plans set just yet. I keep thinking I will cook spaghetti.
Y'all stay warm!!! Enjoy your alone time, Susan!
