Topic: It's March!!
And I am finally getting outside and going for a walk. I can't take the cold wind, but looks like it won't be that windy today. I have really missed my walking outside and can't wait for spring to get here to remedy that. Got me a Wii and will get my Fit plus with the balance board in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to that.
This month will fly by because I have lots going on. It has been way to quiet on here, so I took the plunge and jumped in. Hope everyone else does too.
On another note, my husband, going through chemo right now for colon cancer, is doing pretty good. We are at the halfway point of the chemo. His biggest problem is the fatigue. I knew it would be. He still gets a little neausea, and the diahrrea(sp?) is bad but he has a prescription med for that. He is just now starting to get the sores in his mouth. Most of the time he feels pretty good, just gets tired easily.
Enough of that. Everyone have a great day!!

Well I have my visit with PS and he wants to work on my tummy first. The other body parts must wait. My insurance will pay for my tummy but the cheap way, which is a cut across from hip to hip. He said I need the cut from hip to hip and mid chest to as fas below as you can go. He said there is a lot there for my tummy and to do it right I should get the big T-Cut. taking this route will cost me and addtional 2,000 and I am happy with that. Take care.

Topic: RE: Small Weight Gain
Yes, you can lose this 8 lbs, but you're going to have to get back to basics. Measure your food, journal your intake, make SURE to get your water/supplements in, and exercise.
Are you paying attention to home many calories you are eating? Journaling through Sparkpeople.com or fitday.com will really help you to see where you are. Give yourself a week or 10 days to see what kind of pattern there might be, then you can make adjustments from there.
Hope this helps, let us know!

What do I do? I have never really measured my food, but I started smoking again and quit about 2 months ago. Since I quit I have gained 8 pounds. If I start measuring my foods do you think I can lose again? I really hope so! I worry all the time about stretching my pouch out. That is the last thing I want to do, but I do feel hungry more so now than ever! I am down from 344 to 184 as of this morning....I really want to lose 10 pounds more so if anyone has any ideas!!!! I am always open to advice and ideas that is for sure!

OMG I bet the vietnamese soup was to die for, I miss vietnamese foods. For a few years when I lived in San Diego I lived in the Linda Vista neighborhood which is pretty much all vietnamese (where they were put when they came over during the vietnam war). Just the smells at dinner time walking around my apt building, always so flavorful. Where did you get your soup at?
We have a little filipino restaurant in town, and I have been wanting to get so loompya, fried or not, I haven't had one in like 15+ years.

Topic: RE: Question about Wii Fit Plus
This has been on my christmas wishlist for as long as its been out, but the hefty price tag is the only thing keeping me from getting it. I know christmas 2008 it was something around 400 for a wii and the wii fit together at walmart, but last christmas the wii went down in price, but I think it was still close to 300 for the whole thing bundled together. I just don't know if I will get 300 bucks of play out of it. We also looked at the price of games, since this would be a family toy (meaning me, my roomie and my niece when she is over, who is 2 and half) we would probably want an action fighting game (something like diablo) or a racing game (like grans torismo on playstation), but also a kids game for Caitlin. It just seemed to expensive, unless we joined an online game renting thing like netflix.
I still want one, I really think I would work out on it. Maybe next christmas. But as far as people I know who have them, it's all praises, they love it, can't live without it, don't know how they would exercise without it. They say its great when your too busy for a gym.

Topic: RE: rolling down the river, what are you eating??
Before surgery we never looked at the labels, and just threw whatever we wanted in the buggy at the store. Now we pretty much know what I can and can't have, and what I can and can't tolerate but can eat. Robbie is really good with helping me shop, since he knows about how much pre pound meats should be and whether we are getting a good deal or not.
We used to buy the cheap hamburger meat but even now with us being so broke, not even the cheap stuff being on sale will get us to buy it. It's just not worth it.
Also we buy more veggies frozen in a bag, as opposed to in cans. We buy less noodle sides and more rice-like sides. I like how you can get brown rise in different flavors, like broccoli and cheese or southwest chipotle.
Overall I would say we pay much much more attention to everything we get, oh and we avoid the chip/snack aisle completely, LOL
