Gena,

Good luck with your decision.  I will tell you that the Sleeve Surgery is not covered by insurance.  I do know a friend who self payed for the sleeve with Dr. Rollers office and she has had a wonderfull outcome as well.

If you ever have anymore questions, or just need somebody to talk to feel free to email me!

Wonderful!  thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.  I have been to seminar in Oklahoma and I agree I want my surgeron to be close "if" problems occur.

I am looking forward to the seminar Saturday morning.  I am leaning towards the sleeve surgery, but look foward to speaking with a surgeon, about what would be right for me.

You have encouraged me even more!  I can't wait for Saturday!!!

Thanks again,

Gena

I choose Dr. Roller because I wanted my surgeon to be within a close distance if I needed him post-op for emergency.  Honestly, I'm not sure I woulda had the surgery if he didnt have an office in NWA.

No, I never received a recomendation for him, but I never heard a complaint against him either.  At the time I started my WL journey he happened to open an office here!

The lady that files the insurance (Beth) is a God-Send!  She fought for 2 years for me to get approval.  She is relentless in getting approvals.

I had Laproscopic RNY.  When I first went to the siminar I thought I would go with the Lapband, but after my own personal research and talking with Dr. Roller we both decided that RNY was the best choice for me.

I would absolutely have Dr. Roller do my surgery again!!  I have had zero post-op complications, and minimal pain.  I had my surgery at the Physicians Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville and LOVED that place.  The nurse to patient ratio is very low, and everybody is very friendly and helpfull.

I would like to hear what made you choose him as your surgeron?

Would you go through surgery again with Dr. Roller?

Did he come recommended to you?

Did Dr. Rollers office help fight the insurance for you?

What kind of surgery did you have?

Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions for me!

Sure!  Ask me anything.  I am an open book.

I went to Dr. Roller's first ever Siminar when he first opened his clinic in Springdale.  I had a HUGE battle with my insurance which resulted in me waiting untill this past January to actually have the surgery.  I am now 6 weeks post-op and down 30 pounds since surgery (81 total with my 6-month supervised diet)

His office has since moved to Fayetteville, and every person in that office has been wonderfull to work with.

Hello,

I am from Fayetteville and I am going to attend Dr. Rollers seminar on Saturday.  Is there anyone local that would be willing to talk to me that has had surgery preformed by Dr. Roller.

Good morning,
Im here, just have been extremely busy, not even lurking!!  Went to work for the Census, and have been working morning to night, literally, start about 8, get home around 6. I love it though, it pays well, but oh the experiences Im having!!!

Glad to hear your husband is at the 1/2 way point in his chemo.  God is good all the time.  Im ready for spring as well, tired of the cold, the dreary days, and the staying inside, except the last 2 weeks Ive been out in it and it has given me a horrid head cold. In the warm truck, out to the door in the cold, repeat, over and over.  But Im glad I have the income, so I wont fuss bout it too much.

You all take care, and I'll check in when I can.

Thanks Sybul..We are going to be just fine. We keep the faith.

I know what you mean about the cold. I think I want to walk but when I get out in that cold wind, I just can't take it. I am sooooo ready for spring to get here.

I've been lurking.  The board is really slow right now.  Spring is on the way.  I'm itching to start back walking too.  I've been trying to get off work a little earlier so I have time before it gets dark.  Winter used to be my favorite time of year before I lost the weight, now it sucks.  Can't stand the cold, lol.
I'm glad to hear your dh has made it halfway through the chemo.  He's on the downhill side now.  It seems to make it a little more bearable sometimes.  I'll be sending positive thoughts your way.  Nothing much has been going on around here except work, work, and more work.  I can't wait for spring when I can get outside and work around in the yard.  I'm tired of being couped up inside.  Ya'll have a good day.
