Topic: 2 1/2 weeks post-op plastics

It's rare that I post, but I do lurk... :-)
I've spoke (& messaged) with a few of you over the past 6 months & just wanted to let you know that I am now 2 1/2 weeks post-op from a lower body lift. LBL surgery was November 29, 2010.
I can most definitely say my LAP-RNY was a walk in the park in comparison. I didn't touch my pain meds after my RNY, but I have been thankful to have them this time. Not to say I wouldn't do it again.
Lots of swelling, still. But from what I can see now I believe I'm going to love it in say... 3-6 months.
Insurance did approve the panni portion, but not without an appeal.
I did take before photos, which need edited (parts trimmed out). Later when I feel up to it and as the results show better I will post before & after photos.
I may be off work still come time for the January meeting. I'm the trucker that's always on the road. Would someone please post date & time. It's been so long I'm not sure.
Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas!

Topic: RE: Whats the aprx price for the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy
I went to Dr. Armando Joya in Mexico for my VSG.  It cost $10,000 all inclusive (airfare, hospital, doctor, hotel, taxi, etc).  I received excellent care and would recommend him to anyone.  Please PM me if you have any questions, I would be glad to share.

Good luck on your journey.

Topic: RE: Does Medicare Pay for the Vertical Slevve Gastrectomy ???
Hello.  Currently, medicare does not cover the Sleeve Gastrectomy, only the Adjustable Gastric Band and the Gastric Bypass.  Dr. Roller in Fayetteville is the most experienced Sleeve Surgeon in Arkansas, is a national teacher for the Sleeve Gastrectomy, and also has the only other Center of Excellence in Arkansas.  Good luck!  www.rollerweightloss.com
