Ouch!  I'll light a candle for you on the 23rd and send positive thoughts your way all that day.  On the bright side, at least you know you're in excellent hands with Dr. Gibbs.  That makes all the difference in the world.

Topic: Miss you all....
Hey guys,
Just wanted to let ya know I miss you all and wish I could be there Thursday night, but my dads baby brother died suddenly this afternoon, the funeral will be Thursday and I will prolly spend the evening w/family.

Hope you all have fun, was really looking forward to seeing everyone, and even bringing clothes w/holes and grease stains!!! Not really, but was bringing some stuff.  Will see you all next month for sure, and at the walk in September!!

Hugs to all my OH family, I may be scarce for a while during the dealing of all this.  He and I were really close, makes me remember how important family and friends are to us.

Wonder Doc(Gibbs) says he'll insert mesh to prevent this from happening again. He has a less than 1% return rate on hernias. Better than Dillards

Thanks for the hug!

Saw Dr Gibbs today and yep, just as suspected, I have an ingunal hernia. She's leaving town on 7/23, taking the Gibbs train outta there!

BTW, these are VERY rare in women. Something like only 2% of women get this type of hernia, so you can bet I'd be in that 2%!  Leave it to me to be the "special girl".

AGH......I need hugs.

I didded it, Tiny Big Chief!

I'm glad that you didn't think I was trying to be clothes-nazi or anything.  Just thought I'd try and pre-empt any of those clothing-exchange horrors we've heard from others!

Love you much!

Topic: GUIDELINES FOR THURSDAY'S CLOTING EXCHANGE
SOME GUIDELINES FOR THURSDAY NIGHT'S CLOTHING EXCHANGE:

1.  No underwear, please

2. Limit what you bring to 10 or less items. (initially anyway, and we'll see how it goes)

3.  Bring only "season appropriate" items.

4.  All items should be clean!  Not necessarily dry-cleaned or pressed mind you, but nothing that's been wadded up in the bottom of your dirty-clothes hamper for months.

5.  Don't bring anything you would be embarrassed to have worn to the meeting yourself.  (
I'm all about some casual clothing folks, but pants with holes worn in the butt or t-shirts covered in grease stains? NOT.
I'm just sayin'!...
)

6.  No hangars, please.  Nicely folded is perfect.

If you don't want to take home your "leftovers" at the end of the night, I'll be glad to take them to ARC and/or Goodwill Friday morning.

We're a super-friendly group of people so I don't forsee any big ole' catfights over particular clothing items, but consider yourself warned that if it DOES get ugly, I'll videotape and post it on U-TUBE in a heartbeat!!! Wouldn't that be a hoot? Our surgeons would disown/disacknowledge us, ha ha! (I tend to be able to find humor in just about evrything... )
