Had my one year check-up Wednesday.  I was told to lay off the coffee and start eating more veggies and fruit and less protein.  I also eat 6 times a day in small amounts to get in my protein because I've been keeping it at around 100/day.  I still have almost 30 lbs to go to reach my goal weight.  If I decrease my protein, won't it slow my weight loss down?  I still get in my water.  I do admit I haven't been exercising since my surgery.  I've been slow to get back on that horse but I'm working on it.  Cutting back to 3 meals/day isn't a problem since I don't get hungry.  At the same time, they told me not to take so much protein powder.  It's hard to get in the protein without it.  I have worked really hard at keeping my pouch from stretching out.  Speaking of that, at a year out, how much should we be able to hold at a time?  I got a prescription for a million labs to have done but I'm going to wait until August when it will go on my new insurance deductible.    I don't have to go back for another year now.  It's amazing how much difference a year can make.  I went from size 3-4 extra large to a small.  I still can't comprehend it at times.

I just want to say that I enjoyed meeting all the nice people at this evening's group support meeting. You all made me feel welcome and comfortable. I had hoped that the meeting would help calm my nerves and I can definitely say that it did.

Information was great.

I look forward to seeing you all again!

Hello to one and all!  My name is Crystal and I live in Searcy,  I had my lap band done May 26th here in Searcy and I have lost a total of 38 pounds.  I am looking for friends, help and support and bet I can find it here.  I look forward to interacting with everyone and finding my way around the site (even though I am seriously frustrated from the speed due to all the ads).
