I heard the commute in from Maumell was brutal yesterday. One of the reasons we decided against buying there. Great community, if you don't have to go any where in the morning or evening.

I got off work yesterday about 7:00 and it was so beautiful coming home. I didn't even turn on the A/C in my car, just opened the window. AHHHHHH

hey honey,

Hope the workshop went well. Too bad you're going to be losing your job soon. That stinks!

Hi Sybul,

Try spraying your roses with a soapy water solution in a spray bottle. We grew beautiful rosesin San Diego and that's what I uesed if we had aphids.

If I go away for a while will you come redo my house??? LOL

Hi Libby,

Those BA calcium lozenges aren't what you think they are. They're NOT hard candy, SF or otherwise. They are more like giant Rolaids or Tums. I got some of the cinnamon ones, thinking anything cinnamon is good in my book, well, not this stuff. It's Okay, and just Okay in my book. Good in a pinch, but not something I woule use to quell a tickle in my throat. Very dry!

contrats on getting rid of medication!   That's what this is all about, isn't it?

Has anyone tried or have any thoughts about Bariatric Advantage Calcium Citrate (400mg) Chocolate Flavored Lozenges with Vit. D (100IU) 90 tabs/btl?

I tried a chewable vitamin yesterday & it didn't sit well at all. So after that I didn't even want to look at the bottle of chewable calcium. Not the fruit flavored ones anyway. I guess I'm going to miss my chocolate chews.

My prenatal vitamin went down much better today. I'm cutting a tricore pill in half & it still seems big going down so even the Citrucal Petites (that I also already had) seem big now.

I've always had to have a drink or hard candy (sf) or I seem to have a cough (I hate getting into Church or somewhere & not have that candy in my purse). So calcium in lozenge form sounds tempting.

Good news... PCP took me off 2 of my 3 blood-sugar pills today!   :-)
I'm to follow-up in a week with numbers so maybe I'll get rid of the other 1 then.

Hey Courtney!  First thing -- look at the back of the bottle of Cal Citrate you have.  Does the dosage say 1 pill or 2 pills?  If each is 600 mg, then I would say you should take a pill 3-4 times per day.  If it's TWO, then you need to take 2 pills 3-4 times per day.  If I remember what Wendy #1 said correctly, we need to get about 2000 mg per day per the current recommendations.  (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!)

Flintstones are a good start, but you might want to look around for other vitamins.  I use an adult chewable (2 per day) I found at Drug Emporium, it's fruit flavored.  Since you're so young, it's especially important for you to get all your vitamins in... you'll absolutely need all those calcium stores for when you get old like the rest of us. ;)

Unfortunately I've spent all day at the Hospital with my mother in law. We had to make a mad dash to Dallas last night. She's not doing well and the doctors were afraid she wouldn't make it. We really still have no answers to what is going on this time. Although she has been fighting breast cancer for  a while now and she had a bone marrow transplant in May. We're keeping our fingers crossed. Your prayers would be very appreciated. Thanks
