Evelyn, it's so nice to see you!  I can't believe that you're approaching your second anniversary. Time does fly.
I'm proud of you for wanting to keep working at getting the last of your weight off. A good thing about this tool is that it's always going to be there, you just have to use it!  It may not come off as fast or as easily, but if you keep at it, I know you can do it!

The reason I got this inguinal hernia was because I was obese for so long. It's hard to imagine exactly what damage we do to ourselves by the abuse obesity causes. Hope the chiropractor can help you with your issues.

Please stick around more. We've missed you!

Topic: Wonderful Mondays!
Hey Everyone!

Hope everyone's week is getting off to a good start in spite of the rain!  Mine is starting out slow but it will pickup by Wed.  We have a VP coming to tour our facility and that's always fun. (NOT)!

Well, guess I better get to work.

Yes, I'm here.  I posted on your last post.  Not meaning to get all mushy or anything but I sure am counting my blessings lately too.  I'm fitter and able to do things now that I haven't been able to do in the past 10-15 years.  I might complain about my sore, aching body but it's glorious to be able to get tired from doing things I couldn't do before.  Eddie talked our ears off last night.  Three weeks is the longest he has ever been away from us since we inherited him at six weeks old.  It sure was awfully quiet around here while he was gone.  Now that the room is finally finished, we need to play catch up around the house and get the dust and grime cleaned up and then move on to the yard.  Eddie was so excited about his room he volunteered to mow the yard.  It's not very often our 16 y/o volunteers for anything, lol.  Now I really do need to rush and get in the shower and head for work.  Everyone have a good day.

OK, so it's Monday morning.  Better late than never.  We spent Friday evening and all day and night Saturday working on Eddie's room.  When I left for Dallas Sunday morning, Val stayed home to finish up putting his room together and unpacking his stuff.  The room does look great.  Eddie was really excited and he likes it so I guess we hit a home run.  We met at Pappadeaux for a late lunch.  I had some boiled shrimp.  Pat had some gumbo, my daughter Alexis had the Crawfish bisque, and Sandra had a halibut sandwich.  It was all good. (I had a bite of everyone's lunch and shared my shrimp).  When we got home, the TV was messed up.  After calling support, we are getting a new satellite receiver sometime this week.  Seems the hard drive in ours is messed up.  We missed all our shows that I thought were recording the past 3-4 days.  Oh well, I never watch too much during the summer anyway.  It's off to work this morning.  It's pretty bad when you look forward to Monday after being off the weekend to be able to get a little rest, lol.  Every bone and muscle in our bodies ache today.  Getting older sucks sometimes, lol.  At least I get the satisfaction of knowing that a year ago I was incapable of doing all of this.  About the obesity walk,  I am going to really try to come up with the extra money and sign up this year.  Maybe I'll finally get to meet you all in person.  Gotta go jump in the shower soon.  Ya'll have a good week.  We love you too, Susan.

Topic: RE: HEY!!!
Im here, and thankful to be so!!!

Had a great Saturday, had a horse show in Camden and Mike and I both won 1st place.

Today has been a hard day.  One of our dear friends who comes to the barn passed away suddenly today at church.  Such a wonderful person, never seemed to have any issues, just fell out.  We must all be ready, that is the one thing in this life we cant avoid.

So while dealing w/that, I got on Mikes 10 year old stud, and was just pleasure riding, horse flies got to him, and he dumped me on my right hip.  Trust me, we DONT bounce anymore!!!  So Im pretty sore but not broken, and just thankful.

The week will get better, ankle still giving me much grief, going to the doc tomorrow to have a long chat about this foot, its swelling alot and turning dark sometimes.  Time to do something different.  Maybe I'll learn to stay off of it and behave!!! NOT!!

Hope all has a great week, sposed to rain here all week.  Glad you are better Sus!!

Love to you all, and I MEAN that,
Rhonda D.

Topic: RE: Calcium woes...help!
Whenever I am looking for my vitamin pills that are not my normal brand, I always note how many pills a day will I have to take to get what I need.  This is especially important when I am getting my calcium.  First thing I do, is look at the ingrediants, make sure its calcium citrate.  A few times I have picked up a bottle thinking it was citrate based on the name, and find out it was really carbonate.  I get the Walgreens brand of calcium, Calcium Citrate, is the name of it on the front.  Serving size is 2 caplets, their a bit big but I can easily break them in half with my hands.  Per 2 caplets, I get 400mg.  So easy math tells me that each one is 200, so 3 will get me 600, take 3, 3 times daily, gets me 1800mg.
Next I look at how many come in the bottle, if I need to take 9 a day, then a 90 ct bottle wil only last me 10 days.  Also I look at price, I don't want to be spending a lot just for 10 days, but I don't mind spending extra to get 200 ct bottle, since it will last me abt 2 weeks.

Also, I take the green gel caps for Vit d, I unwillingly, poke a hole through both ends of the gelcap and bite down until the gelcap is empty, and I spit the gelcap out.  I don't see any reason swallowing it.  I don't care for the way it coats my mouth will oil.

For multi-vit I get Centrum chewable from Wal*Mart, it leaves an iron taste in my mouth, and everything I drink/eat for abt an hour will taste like iron/blood.  But it doesn't bother me.  Also get my protein from Wal*Mart, $14 for a big tub (chocolate or vanilla) will last me 2 weeks.
