Ohhhh, to have protein pills!  I think I read once that there are such things, but it's not a good type of protein and you'd have to eat handfuls of them for any benefit.

Was the apple melon the ready to drink in a glass bottle? Isopure is a ready to drink that isn't too bad IF it's very cold. You might be sensitive to cold for a while, but if you aren't, you might give it a try. Also, you can add Crystal lite in a similar flavor to mask the protein flavor some.
I'm kind of weird that I actually like the taste of the protein that I drink (Syntrax Fuzzy Navel) and still enjoy it at almost three years out. Most people just have to find one that they can tolerate. It's really important, so keep trying!

16 lbs in 11 days is wonderful!

I got impatient and went to Drug Emporium.  I came back with TWO iron supplements, one is Feosol!  I must be a mind-reader!!

The other one is by Nature's Plus, and it's a chewable with Vit C.  I had one in the car on the way back to work and it tastes loads better than the chewable calcium and gluc/chondroitin I have.  I figure whichever iron I don't use I'll force upon my teenager.  She's been complaining for the longest time of headaches and fatigue... I have a feeling she's anemic or well on the way since she actively avoids red meat and most veggies.

Be careful!  Early out I had a devil of a time finding a protein that didn't make me sick... of course, anything vanilla flavored was out of the question after those shakes pre-op (blech).  The thought of chocolate made my stomach turn, too -- gosh, I wish I still had that problem, ha!

Don't forget -- you don't have to do a whole scoop at once.  You can dilute it down if you'd like and spread it through the day.

Sixteen pounds already!!!!  You're a rock star! :)

I use the Feo Sol (I think that is the name) but I am thinking of switching to the Tender Iron that the Vitalady sells, my labs have always been on the low side for Iron so I figure that I need something better since the Fe Sol hasn't been boosting it any

I am here too!
Not been paying much attention to my computer lately though.
Milk it while you can... :-)
I'm 11 days out now. Doing pretty good (I think). 16 pounds down since surgery.
My biggest problem seems to be finding a protein drink that I like and likes me.
I bought several samples before WLS and have now tossed several of those down the drain.
Didn't even care for the apple melon clear protein drink either. Have 3 more flavors of the bottled clear stuff to try. Several more powders to try.
Thought I'd try adding some sf chocolate syrup to some vanilla today and see if it is drinkable.
After reading all the great posts about syrups I purchased 2 (chocolate & raspberry). Today will be the 1st taste of those.
Do they make protein pills?

The post op meetings are in the Doctor's dining room on the far right side of the cafeteria (basement). They are held the second Thursday of each month from 6:00-7:30.

You're more than welcome!

Congratulations on getting the approval.  That was the hardest part for me.  It took me over a year to get my insurance, United Health, to approve me.

I know that waiting is hard, but don't give up.
