I know what you mean.  The only way I can afford going is because we got a really good discount from work.  I guess that means I can't be changing jobs anytime soon, lol.  I do have a question though.  I was logging my exercise last night and noted that they only give you how many calories you burned for the Cardio.  Do they mean to tell us that all that soreness from the strength training doesn't come with the reward of burning calories too?  And, to add to my whine, I had to really work at it to get my heart rate up to where the dumb machine said I needed to be during the workout, lol.  I never thought I would ever hear myself complain about a resting heart rate of 62 when it was in the 90's before I started losing.  I think you're right about the board.  Once school starts back and everyone gets back on a regular schedule things will pick up.  If you think this board is slow, you should check out some of the others too.  My second favorite place is deader than a door nail.  (Whatever that is supposed to mean).  Have a good weekend.

Yes, Sybul, you have been posting a lot and I appreciate it. It takes more than just one or three to keep things going. I've been thinking about posting silly and absurd just to see if anyone would read it...LOl

I know everyone is busy, what with work, school, and LIFE. It just feels lonely around here without the whole "gang". I'm sure you know what I mean.

Congratulations on getting to the gym. I checked one out last week, but with the taxes due, my trip to Dallas, and company coming, I'm just not sure I can afford it right now. We'll have to wait and see.

Once I do start, I'm NOT looking forward to sore muscles. But wait....I HAVE no muscles to get sore!

Excuse me, Miss You've been too busy to Post Much Yourself Lately!!!  I guess you're getting too fancy what with that gorgeous new pic you put up and everything, lol.  I'm just too boring to pull 'em in, Susan.  I have been diligently posting my boring days though.   Speaking of such... I am feeling very virtuous right now thank you very much.  I went to the gym for the first time today after work and had a blast.  One of the ladies I work with was still there when I arrived and she showed me all the machines.  A personal trainer will work with me soon to help set up a program for me.  I'm already getting stiff and sore, groannnnn.  Ya'll have a good weekend.  Love you all.

Hey Susan!  I'm a "newbie" from last night.  Wanted to let you know it was great seeing such awesome inspirations from the post-op patients!  I can't wait until I could be able to join you with great success stories like all the ones from last night.

Also, isn't the walk at 8 am?  The flyer I got from Dr. Baker said Sept. 26 @ 0800.

It was awesome meeting Susan and by the way people............she is itty bitty!'  We had a great time and then I ran back to class and took my test and I got a 92.2%.  Also she brought me an awesome little present and hopefully can relax with a bubble bath tonight.  I am hoping in the near future to have some time to come to Little Rock and meet everyone else and attend a support group meeting.

Have a great day!

Shoot!  I can't make it to LR for the meetings.  I might have to look into starting one in this area.

Wonder how I would go about it?

I have noticed that not many people are posting anymore.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a support group that meets around hot springs/malvern area?

First of all, I want to welcome any Newbies from last night that might be popping in to see what we're all about. It was a great meeting, lots of good questions and discussion. We only had 11 (including me) in the post op room, we truly missed those of you who couldn't make it. But, we did have three New Post-Ops join our group. Great fun!

The Walk From Obesity is Sept 26, River Market, 9:00 a.m.  Participation in the Walk qualifies for credit for a support group meeting for those of you who are Baker Babies. THERE WILL NOT BE A MEETING AT BAPTIST IN SEPTEMBER  The Walk takes place of the meeting.

I'm hoping to have a guest speaker in October, since I will have company coming in that day from San Diego. So, put that on your calendar.

Alright then, now the final thing.....WHERE THE HECK IS EVERYONE??? AND WHY IS THIS BOARD DYING/???  THIS MAKES ME SAD.
