Wow. My family had it's share of drama, but this take the prize. Personally, I think this young man needs to have a good dose of reality. Set him free. Cut him off. Sink or swim buddy.
Tough love is hard, but sometimes it's the only way.
So sorry about MIL. It's a good thing she didn't have to see it.
Glad you're feeling better!

Well, of course you could come!!! There is another girl in Searcy who doesn't drive. Maybe you could give her a ride, and I'd bet she'd give you a few bucks for gas. I'll send her your way, if that's alright?
They are at Baptist Hospital from 6:00-7:30, second Thursday of every month. The post-op meetings are in the doctors dining room on the far right side of the cafeteria, which is in the basement.
Hope to see you in October at the next meeting! Good luck on your surgery. We'll be waiting to hear how you're doing

I finally drug myself up out of the house and went to the funeral home for visitation to see my m-i-l and the rest of my family and friends that came to pay their respects. We have a great nephew in his late 20's that hasn't begun to grow up yet. He has lots of problems and feels that he never gets his "fair due", acts like everybody owes him, and everything he does is never his fault. Before we took Agnes to the nursing home, he would get down on his luck and move in on her. She loved him and would take him in. She would feed him, buy him clothes, hound my husband until he would find him a job, and all the while he would sit on his butt waiting for everything to be handed to him. This kid is so awful that even his own parents wouldn't let him stay with them. Anyway we finally found out he was stealing her money, her pain medicine, even her beer and when he was high would sometimes intimidate her. When we caught on, we had to go over there in force and have him pack up and take him off. It's not that we didn't try numerous times to help the kid get his act together, He doesn't want any help since he thinks he isn't the one with the problems. We finally had enough and told him that we were through. When he was ready to get help, let us know. (he has a girlfriend and a 1 year old son too.) Long story short, he made a big scene at the funeral home and stood up and started yelling at the gathering. He stomped out and his two younger sisters followed him out and they got into an argument in the parking lot of the funeral home, that escalated into a fist fight with his sisters boyfriend. We called the police but right before they got there, he rode off with his girlfriend and baby. He was drunk and high. I can't believe that he would show such disrespect to the one person who loved him unconditionally when she was alive. Otherwise, Agnes looked really peaceful. We visited with so many friends and family that we hardly ever see. It's a shame that we wait for a death to get together. Well since I missed three days of work this week, I am going in to see if I can do a little catching up today. I almost hope he is too embarrassed to show up at the National Cemetery for her funeral. I don't think I could bear it if he raised another scene like that.

Hey Sus,
Mike say****he bird says "I love you", I love you mom!!! Mike put her in bed w/me this morning and she got UNDER the cover and went to sleep, after saying about 4 times "I love you" Gosh I am so spoiled!!!
The trailer work was exhausting but rewarding, its scraped, sanded and ready to paint. Will do that Monday afternoon. Heading to bed soon, ankle is MUCH sore, and there must be riding tomorrow.
I'll kiss the bird for ya!!!

I had lap-band done on May 20th of 2009, so I am 3 months out and have lost 53 since I started my paper work in January. I have lost 41 since the surgery date. I weighed 283 lbs in Jan. after I had the 2 weeks of shakes that Dr. Baker requires before surgery, I was down to 270. I am currently at 229.
It has its challenges but it has certainly changed my life for the better.
I hope this answers some of your questions, feel free to ask more!

Hi Bailey,
The only other support group meeting I know of other than Dr Roller's is our here in LR. It's on the second Thursday each month, EXECPT September, when we're doing the Walk From Obesity in place of the meeting.
