Come on down to New Orleans next month and join the fun.  We will be having the New To You Boutique. Now everyone loves a bargain and the clothing exchange fits that bill.  Nothing in the boutique is for sale--it is all FREE.  Bring your clean gently used clothing and walk away with a new outfit or two.  Shoes, purses, belts and acessories are more than welcome.

We are having promo codes to greatly reduce the ticket cost so watch for those posts.

Also come meet us on

Topic: Exercising more and more- beat the heat!
The weight was dropping pretty fast during the first month (6-8 lbs/wk).  After a minor slow down, I up'd my water intake and started walking @ least 40 minutes per day.  The weight dropped 7.5 pounds last week. I think that I will have a good drop this week too.  Also, more careful with carbs.

To beat the heat (unfortunately, not the humidity), I go walking around 6-6:15am.  I walk 4 days per week and as of today, I ride the stationary bike 2 days per week. I will add strength training in another week or so.

When was your surgery, and what is your exercise routine?
Pre-liquid diet 392; VSG'd on 6/10/11; 5'9"; SW 368/ GW 195?

Topic: RE: Dead forum?
Hey Susan!  I've been fighting severe depression and anxiety for the past year.  I do still lurk though.  I was wondering who did your plastics and how it all came out?  Good to see you on here.

Topic: Doing Great
Hi all
I just wanted to let everyone know that I had my surgery on the 13th and everything is fine. I have to admit i was a little scare but I knew I was in good hands. From God waking me and leading me to an excellent surgeon, hospital, critical care team and everything else that made it a successful procedure. I am home once again and my recovery is going quite well. Thanks for all the prior postings you all have did. It gives people like me a chance to read about what will happen before, during and after the surgery. I am ready for the next step and my new healthier life to come. Thanks Arkansas for being there.
