Good Monday morning!!!  It's my Sunday, so to all of you on your way to work....hehehe

I thought about mowing the backyard this morning, but if I sit here just a bit longer that feeling might pass. Actually, if I mow, then I can spread out a blanket and maybe get some sun on this pasty white bod. I'm going to Dallas next week, and I'll blind my friends at the pool. White as the Queen's fanny, as a friend used to say. Might be able to get a wee bit of color and some Vit D at the same time.  Okay, I've gone and done it....decided to mow after all. See how you guys help me without even knowing it?  

Not much else going on, which is very, very good.

just take all your measurements now....and after 1 week take them again and try to measure weekly from hear on out. Weigh in at the start and then once a week or every two weeks what ever you do now. Dont become scale obsessed because muscle does weigh more than fat!!!

If you can afford it, I suggest buying a fitness journal at Amazon.com. It will be about 20 bucks total and that should include shipping, unless the cost of the book went up. They are called Diet Minder and Fitness Minder made by Memory Minder Journals.

In this journal you can record everything work out related.  You can buy a diet journal as well. I think the fitness journal will be very helpful and help you keep track of what you are doing. Remember do not work the same muscle group daily except your abs.

I need an email addy for you. I can send you a template to use if you cant find the journal.

It is key to start building muscle as muscle goes fast during our weight loss and you have to have muscle to burn fat. Drink a protien shake after your workouts because it helps your muscles recover. Dont go for fruit or anything else. I would suggest a shake or lean protien. Stay hydrated through out the workout as well. And stop if you dont feel good.

We had weekend chores too. Hey does anyone remember the princess telephone? I really think that all of that hard work help keep my weight in check. My grandmother was old old old school. Did laundry everyday and hung them on the line. We kids had to take them in and fold them. She also cooked biscuits for breakfast and dinner, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, greens and plenty of fat meat, all of which is not healthy.  We worked like dogs and ate like hogs. You know eat like a horse and poop like an elephant.

Anyhow......I dont think it is the taste I am looking for I think it is the comfort and habit of having it. I have a case in the kitchen for my son and other half......I could drink one if I wanted it......

I agree with you on learning something new...thats creepy because I dont like any attention drawn to myself.....I dont even like birthday gifts or christmas gifts.....people watching me....

Anyhow,,,,,you will do fine in your riding.......and I too will do fine with my addiction...I hope....I can give up food easier than this......

Hey Mama,
I grew up w/o television.  From the time I was 4 until I was 16, there wasnt a working one in our house.  Five kids, and my older sisters didnt want to do anything bu****ch TV, so when it broke when I was a wee lass, they didnt buy another until I was too old to care about it.  It is on above my head as I type, and I have NOOO clue what is on and no desire to find out.  Ours goes 24/7 here, but I very rarely pay it any attenion.  If its not a crime show, i.e. Law and Order, The 1st 48, etc., I just dont care.
Saturday mornings was always housework day growing up, and mom was a hard nose, so now I DONT do house work on Saturdays.  Funny how our childhood molds us!!
We usually go somewhere, or ride horses, Saturdays are our day since his dad usually gets us during the week.  The joys of being on disability is being w/him all the time (my Mikey) but sometimes I do long for time alone!!  Ok, Im rambling, lol.

You can sooo do this.  I know its hard, I think of it like conquering fear.  I have never ridden english, always my western saddle, nice saddle horn to grab if I need to.  English is low back, no horn, and very little under my arse.  I have to ride that way next Sunday and have never ridden more than 2 steps in one.  So I have the same anxiety now over starting something that you have over giving something up.  Its easy for people to say, "Its just a habit, just break it!" Well, to one person today I said, "Yeah, walking on the ground is just a habit to you, why dont you jump off the Empire State Building!!"
Ok, so I wasnt nice!!!!  We love you here, we know you can do this, and we are here for you to vent to.  I'll let you know how tomorrows lesson goes!!!  Good luck on your Monday w/no coke!!

Im coming to Little Rock, but I wont be there till Saturday morning, have fun, I'll be there Saturday all day and Sunday all day (showing) and then leaving Monday.
