Hey gang,
Home again, and sooo happy to be. Love to go away, but always love to come back home.
Thanks first of all to everyone who wished me well, thought of us yesterday, prayed for safety and all the other things you do nice for me.
Mike and I had WONDERFUL rides at the AR State Horse Show 2009!!! Mike had a near perfect ride early yesterday morning, but our baby was not what they were looking for. There is a difference in a walk and a rack. Well, our baby racks, and yesterday morning they wanted walkers, so all the racking horses had no luck. He had a great ride, they both looked snazzy and I was the proud wife and mommy.
My Slow Gait ride was wonderful yesterday afternoon. Got to dress western, ride my western saddle and we had a near perfect ride, but again, they liked others better. I was ok, b/c we both had a good time, Coal loves to be in the ring, and he took great care of his mom.
My late event, Ladies Gaited that I was soooo stressing over last week was wonderful, the head judge had written down my number for the final cut and then we had a MINOR catastrophe and almost ran over Judge 2!!!! Yep, really did, well when we did that Miss Cash broke down and stopped. I got sideways in the saddle and when I pulled back on the top, I pulled her around too far w/the reins, and the next thing I know, we are almost on TOP of the other judge. Yep, you guessed it, I got scratched (marked off the good list, lol). BUT, I didnt fall off, we had a perfect ride after that, the english saddle was NOT that bad, and we had a great time. I'll be better at it next year, and no one got hurt, we all had fun and life is good.
Glad everyone has had a safe weekend so far, I was planning on relaxing tomorrow, and the phone rang 5 minutes ago, and I have to sub tomorrow. Cant complain, at least they are calling me!!! Love those babies.
Well, Im off to put fresh squash in the freezer and cook a steak for dinner. Hope all stays well. Will see you all tomorrow.

Happy Labor Day everyone....hope you enjoyed the last summer hoorah of 2009....
We drained the pool (wal mart kind 300 bucks highly suggest this pool 15ft x 4ft, easy set up, inexpensive chemicals and easy to take care of if you do it right and then just take it down and store it til next summer) cleaned it up for storage.
I have spent most of my day playing these goofy virtual farm games......oh my goodness....they are addicting,,,,,,
Well summer 2009 is behind us.....time for fall.....I love the smell of fall....well at least fall in Illinois, Michigan or Massachusetts,....the gradual changes.....gorgeous.....

Labor day? Yep, I'm laboring, alright!
It's my regular day off, so there are always things to do. But...with my upcoming trip to Dallas, there are extras that I want to get finished before leaving. On top of that, tomorrow we are having a birthday potluck for one of our stylists, so guess who is bringing the main dish?
Just finished cleaning out my car. Man, how can one person make such a mess in a car? Not junk or trash, just dust and old papers in the glove compartment, like insurance stuff from 3 years ago! Vacuumed it out, cleaned the windows, washed the floor mats, broke a BIG sweat!!
Okay, that's my day. Time to find something for lunch. I'm thinking turkey breast w/ ff cream cheese rolled up. Yum

Wow!!! One hot Peach delite!
Isn't it great to be able to find great deals like this now? I hardly ever pay retail prices any more. Consignment stores, resale shops and e-bay are my best friends. People buy size 4's and usually don't stay in them long. Just the ticket for me!

Great job indeed!
I didn't go camping- but thats ok. I went on a date Friday night- dinner & a movie; nice enough guy, but not my type I'm afraid- although I did enjoy the company. Saturday I had a friend from Hope come up and go dancing with me... which we went shopping before and I got a few great bargans at Cato's on the clearance rack! Went out for dinner then to dancin- I didn't do much but sit though as I had a raging migrane by that time. We were out till 330am-UGH, I was miserable but didn't want to be the party pooper. It was 9AM this morning before I could open my eyes and not cringe.
Up side? The scales dropped 5 lbs! Now I know most of it will be water weight, but I claim the loss if the scales show it twice in a row!! lol
Off to Hope to pick up my daughter then to work... going in as I didn't want to waste a vacation day with nothin to do.
