If you are looking for a used clothing store there is a store called Savers on JFK in NLR, they are very well organized and they have all sizes, I have bought several things from there, actually the pants that I have on today came from there, black pin stripe dress capris and I only paid $6 for them and they look brand new.

Hi mamapeaches. I can't speak japanese anymore. I only had 2 years, but I picked it up so easily then and my second year I was doing 3rd and 4th year exercises as extra homework just for fun. But this has all been so long ago. 1992-1994. So that's 15+ years ago. Heck Ive been out of school for 13 years. But I am disabled now with lung disease, COPD. I worked 7 years in a nursing home until I couldn't work anymore. I am thinking of going back to school but I want to do pharmacy work. I still want to be a teacher, but I just don't have the same drive for it, like I used to. I think if I had gone to college after high school, instead of straight to work, I would have been a teacher today. But I am happy with my choice, I don't have any regrets and maybe one day I will do it.
The only thing about japanese I still can do is write it. I can't translate it, but I can pronounce good and I can write the hiragana and katakana without a problem, of course I got to look some characters up, LOL. And I have 2 kanji flashcard sets that I paid good money for. Its the same cards they use in the japanese school systems. It's for elementary grades, but by no means is it easy, LOL.

Topic: RE: Time to fess up...
It's been since New Years Eve 2005 when I had a cigarette. I have COPD, diagnosed in 2002. Nothing could get me to quit smoking. Not my lung Dr, not my regular Dr. No it was when I went for my gastric bypass in 2005 and had everything set to go, epidural, IVs anesthesioligist did the okay, pulmonologist checked me out, and finally gave ok. Then they are getting me ready to go to the anesthesia room and I start coughing and coughing and have asmtha attack within minutes of them pushing the versid in my IV. The pulmo said NO SURGERY FOR YOU, anesthiologist doubled that statement and Dr. Wellborn repeated it.
It took me a few months to get quit for 8 weeks. And then New Years Eve I had a cigarette, so even though it wasn't a whole cigarette, I changed my quit date anyway.
Im happy now! No cigarettes for me, and looking at the prices now, whoo I am glad I had quit earlier.
My mom quit for 10 weeks on the chantix but had such horrible side effects (she had the mood ones, where she was mean, and had bad thoughts, and also was sick horribly to her stomach everyday) She got off the chantix I think at 8 or 9 weeks, she couldn't stand being so sick all the time. And stress got her smoking a week later. I think if she hadn't been one of the few who get bad side effects, she would have been a poster child for chantix. Been smoking since the 70s, so over 30 years.

My son speaks Japanese fluently so if you want some conversation just call him. I think they are going to Japan in February. Anyway so what's stopping you from pursing the teaching thing. They really have a shortage of GOOD teachers.
Topic: RE: Liquid Week
I think maybe I need to go back to the beginning, back to basics, and see if I can jumpstart my weightloss again. I need to retrain my brain, again. I can't start this week or next cause my Dad is coming from San Diego to visit us. We only get to see him twice a year. So we will be doing a lot of activities and we usually go out to eat atleast once to a very nice restaurant during the week he is here. So it would be a bad time, and an excuse for me to do what I do best...procrastinate, LOL.
Actually it would really be a bad week. But I am going to make it my goal to do it in October. I get the emails from Kay, she does the Five Day Pouch Test emails and has lots of great recipes for all stages and such, so I need to go and check out her site, haven't been there in a few months. And see how this 5 day test works exactly.
I would like to say how proud I am on how your doing. What exactly are Herbal Life protein shakes? How are they different from other shakes? 100 flavors, something I need to try out. I am so tired of chocolate and vanilla (the ones I get from wal mart but they are only 13 bucks for a big canister).
I always wanted to be a teacher, it was my dream since I was 13. Before that I wanted to be an astronaut, even went to magnet schools that specialized in space exploration or space sciences. But when I was in the 5th grade we went to the Reuben H Fleet Space Center (Susan knows what this is, in San Diego, big museum with a giant onmimax theater) and they did a planetarium like thing on the screen, which is this big screen all around you and above you. Then they did a movie where it was like you were in space, and when they showed the earth from above I got so scared. It was the first time I realized we weren't as big as we thought we were. So I decided to be a teacher. And in 9th grade I started taking japanese lessons and decided I wanted to teach english to kindergarten and 1st graders. If we hadn't of moved after the 10th grade I would have been fluent and had a chance to be an exchange student in tokyo and I wanted to go to college at the Uni of Tokyo.

Topic: RE: walkers!!!
My sister and I have talked about, and are wanting to, do other walks as well. Not just for the support, but for the fun and for the pride in doing something good. The only thing that sucks is that we never can get any pledges. Last year I went all around my street trying to get pledges for the Walk from Obesity. I live in what's called the "main street district" where it's all old buildings and the courthouse is 2 blocks away and everything else is offices. Well I went to the local radio station (Kwik 99.9 and like 3 other stations are housed there) nothing, then to Chesapeake oil...nothing, there was a few boutiques and such...nothing. No one wanted to help out. I had papers Susan had sent me, so I was armed with info all about what it was for, why I was doing it and what we were raising for.
I am sure if I had been doing it for Susan G Komen walk, or Juvenile Diabetes or even suicide prev. they would have gave. Not to many know the importance of needing to fight obesity like we fight cancer and diabetes. I am going to try again this year and try, but I am sure I will get nothing.
As for family and friends, we are regular people barely getting by paycheck to paycheck with medical bills out the butt. I will try to get atleast a dollar from everyone I know.
I also think my sister is registering us online as a family this year to save a little on the reg. fees.

No problem at all! Always happy to help. Shopping for new clothes is always fun, especially if it's because you've gotten a size smaller!
Congradulations!
