Evelyn,
Thanks for being proud of me. It has NOT been easy, as a matter of fact, today was HORRID!! Didnt over eat, DIDNT eat until 3:30 this afternoon. Drank coffee and more coffee, but no food. Gotta be better bout that when Im working.
Herbal Life is a weight loss program, the shakes are high, and the added personal protein powder is high as well. Im not sure Im going to be able to afford it but Im going to try. To buy a large shake mix and protein powder, its like $85. And that is doing 2 shakes a day. The reason they have so many flavors is b/c they have like 15 base flavors and then they give you the recipes to jazz them up and make them different. I had a sample of the Orange Mango yesterday, it was made w/tropical fruit shake mix and a bit of orange and mago jello. They are all sugar free (only natural sugars in there) and they are low in carbs and fat. Very healthy!!
The teaching thing has always been a dream but by being severe asthmatic, I am not able to work every single day, but to sub means I can work as often as they need me when I am able. I love it. I work all ages, from Pre-K to 12th grade. Keeps me young and I just want to be a shining positive example to the kids. A child can never have too many positive loving people in their little lives.
Have fun at the walk, sorry I will miss it this year. I wanna hear reports!

Hey Susan,
Soooooo sorry for not letting you know what he said. I have been extremely busy and every time I sit down to think about calling you, its too late.
OK, I go back in 6 weeks, I can stop wearing the brace as long as I am wearing boots (which is daily attire) and in 6 weeks we will see if the ankle is still rolling when I am barefooted. If so, then we will schedule surgery. He gave me the go ahead to start walking and working out again, but I cannot walk out here in the sticks. Have to walk on the treadmill and work out on flat surface. The fracture is almost healed completely, and so I am doing well there. He lowered my pain pills and said to take them at night just to help me rest.
Sorry again I havent responded, I have been extremely busy!! Life is good, but very very busy
Love you girl,
Rhonda D.

My PS is Dr. Moffett out of Little Rock. I saw him once and we have the aproval for the tummy and they are waiting on me to pick the date. I will pick one as soon as we get this mass in my throat issue cleared up. My PS will only do one thing at a time. He said he wants to be sure I am satisfied with his work.
Topic: RE: stores in North Little Rock...
Guuurrrrlll...you're talking to the shopping QUEEN!!! My new favorite place is a resale store called "Poor Little Rich Girl" and it's located off of Kavanaugh in The Heights. They carry high-end clothing that is in only excellent condition...most of the things I've bought have still had the store tags on them!!
Let me put it to you this way...last Saturday I bought a Wilson's Leather black leather coat, royal blue raincoat from Chico's, a warm-weather jacket from some hooty-who designer, a pair of Rock & Republic jeans, a pair of David Britton jeans, a pair of Abercrombie & Fitch jeans, a Donna Karan skirt, an Ann Taylor skirt, and an Ann Taylor wrap-style cardigan...ALL FOR UNDER $200!!! Vince was ready to choke me, but you gotta admit that you can't beat a deal like that!
Old Navy is having a great sale, and you can print store coupons online. Target has in some pretty cute things for fall, and it's located right across the street from Old Navy, out on Financial Center Parkway.
Don't even get me started...I'll talk your ear off about it tomorrow if you'll give me half the chance!

Topic: RE: walkers!!!
I'll be there and I'm shooting for 8:00, but I'm always late...they don't call me, "The Late Lisa Woods" for nothing!
I'm 5'4 with shoulder-length curly red hair and a mouth that never stops running. I'm wearing black yoga pants and a grey & black shirt that I HOPE will cover my hiney! (And I typically wag around a Starbucks cup of coffee at all times.)
I'm bringing a camera and want to take lots of pics to post!

I know how you feel about the pain meds. The side effects (constipation) wasn't worth them for me. I just push my way through it if I possibly can.
You're in my thoughts and prayers. I know your faith and family will get you through all of this.
We're always here for you, too!

Right now they think it is the remnants of my 2001 thyroid surgery or parathyroid problems. I have an appt with an ENT on the 5th. We have requested all medical records on the thyroid surgery. When the surgery was done I ended up in ICU without any explanation why or what went wrong. The mass is large enough that it is pressing against the thorax and is pushing everything out of line and that is contributing to some of the back pain, plus the extra hanging weight skin on my arms. I am taking pain meds and I don't like that at all.
Topic: RE: High B12??
I agree with Susan......
Here is the website http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/vitaminb12.asp
What is the health risk of too much vitamin B12?
The Institute of Medicine of the National Academies did not establish a UL for this vitamin because vitamin B12 has a very low potential for toxicity. The IOM states that "no adverse effects have been associated with excess vitamin B12 intake from food and supplements in healthy individuals" [7]. In fact, the IOM recommends that adults older than 50 years get most of their vitamin B12 from vitamin supplements or fortified food because of the high incidence of impaired absorption in this age group of vitamin B12 from foods that come from animals [7].Here is the website http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/vitaminb12.asp

Ahem....sorry, but your doctor is an idiot! There is really no such thing as b-12 being too high, what your body doesn't need you eleminate. When I had mine drawn for my 3 yr labs, it was 1488. Six months ago it was over 2000. Both of my doctors said they didn't have any problem with it being high, keep doing what I'm doing.
Yes, you malabsorb, that's why it's so important that you get your levels up and keep them there. What if you got sick? You need for your body to be prepared for what ever comes your way.
I say keep doing what you're doing.
