Update:
Yesterday I saw the ENT doctor and the mass in my throat is huge. It has grown down under my breast bone. We requested my records from my PCP but they can's seem to find them. The doc is now requesting them from the hospital. He wants to see what was one. He thinks they only removed a part od my thyroid so what was left has been growing for 8 years. I will have to have surgery again for the same thing. Once he gets the operative and pathology report he shoudl know what really happened 8 years ago. He is also reviewing each of the CT films.

My day at the salon cancelled out, so it's more cleaning for me! Yipee.......................

Welcome, I use Dr. Baker also, he is great. He will educate you on how to not only change your eating habits but those of your whole family. He is wonderful.
Yes, he is strict, but He knows what he is doing and what it takes for you to conquer the weight issue that we all deal with.
Good luck and you have found a great place to find out answers to many of the questions that you have.
By the looks of your ticker, it seems that you are the perfect person to ask! :) You are doing great! I would think that sticking to the rules would be a must with this type of surgery. I am doing lots of research on this message board. It is a wealth of knowledge.

There is a lot of great info on this board, and we are all a great bunch of people willing to help in any way we can.... I only know of one of the Doctors that you mentioned, and that's Dr. Gibbs. He has a few patients who are on this board... A great one to talk to about him would be Susan(Susandoeshair) she is a great lady to talk to, and is wonderful.... She was one of his patients, and is also the support group leader for the LR Area at Baptist Health Hospital.
As far as another DR. Who oes Lap band who you did not mention in your list is DR. Baker. He is my DR. And he is a gfreat one... He also has a numerous amount of patients on this board, that would be willing to tell you all about him. He is very strict on his rules, but as long as you follow them, and do everything he says the right way, he is so nice... He is a very caring DR. And I couldn't of asked for a better surgeon to do my surgery.
I hope this kinda helps you, I am the Young one on the board, and sometimes don't give the best of info, so I would suggest talking to Susan, whose DR. Was DR. Gibbs or there is another lady named Wendy(wendyfou) on the board, and STEVE whose DR. Was DR. Baker, and they could tell you more about him.

Yep, Fall is here, for sure! It's only going to be in the low 60's this morning, but Thursdat it's supposed to get to nearly 80! Crazy AR weather!
Gary has 16 entries in the State Fair Photography contest. If you get there, take a look. We're hoping he does as well as the last time he entered....won the Sweepstakes Award plus another 7 or 8 blue ribbons.

Yesterday was a crappy day weather wise. Didn't do much. Company didn't leave till about 11 and then straightened up the house.
Next weekend going to my sister's house in Cabot. And about 15 of us(family members) are going to Cabotfest. State fair starts too. Might take it in too. We shall see.
At least it is not raining today. Everyone have a good day.

Well, I had a busy, busy weekend. Worked half a day on Saturday, then went to a wedding in Hot Springs. Beautiful day for a wedding. I had been asked to help with cutting/serving the cake....maybe they knew I wouldn't lick my fingers! Then, stayed to help do the clean up after it was all over.
Yesterday we started moving the SaintBella stock, supplies and equipment to the sun room to make room for the bed for guests the middle of the month. Not a quick or easy job.
Needless to say, my eating wasn't great, in fact I didn't eat much at all and the scale showed it today. It's alright, back on track today.
