Topic: RE: Have we all died?
I've been lurking but I figure everybody gets bored with my nonsense.  I have been having a little rough go of it with the samonella thing.  I ended up taking abts for almost a month, first a 10 day round of Leviquin then a 15 day round of Bactrim DS before that cleared up.  Then I started having horrible stomach pain in my pouch area.  So I was put on double doses of Prilosec and Cytotec 4 x a day for that.  Missed some work which we could not afford so that has added to our money woes.  Meanwhile, my 91 year old aunt had to have surgery for a prolapsed rectum and we had to take her to Fayetteville for the surgery.  Noone in Ft. Smith does the surgery.  What started as an overnight stay turned into a 5 day stint after she went into atril fib. from the surgery.  She is much better now though and smiling again.  On top of all that, we took in our son's best friend.  His mom has some major psych issues going on and she was ftixated on blaming him for everything wrong in her life.  He's a good kid and a good student.  It was a hard decision but I think we did the right thing.  Sooo, he's settling in, our son is getting used to having to share attention from us, my pouch is feeling better,  I got in a whole week of work without being short any hours and am getting close to being caught up there again.  I got so stressed out I started drinking diet coke again and gained about 5 lbs in fluid.  Crossed that off my list again real fast, lol.  I've been a little depressed about my health because even though it's minor stuff, I'm not used to having something wrong so much.  I guess tha's to be expected though when we go through such a rapid weight loss and changes to our bodies.  Now it's time to start gearing up for the holidays.  I'm just trying to get my mind wrapped around it.  Ya'll have a good weekend.

After getting over the feeling of not belonging in the misses department, looking at the sizes and thinking no way is that going to fit me I made my first regular size purchase today- A lovely sweater from Steinmart.  It fits perfectly and looks great.

I am soooo happy.

Topic: In case you wondered....
before I got to the doc today, they called and turned me back around.  I was late due to my aunt, that Mike and I help take care of, was having what we thought was a heart attack. I ended up at the hospital here w/her until they could get her a bed in the heart hospital in LR, so it threw me almost an hour late for my appt.
At first they said to come on, but later realized that Dr. Rector would be in meetings all evening today, so they rescheduled me for Tuesday.  This means I have to be there Monday and Tuesday for doc appointments.  Hope all is well w/everyone else.  Keep Mama Peaches in your prayers as she battles this mass. We all know GOD is able, lets holler for our MAMA here!!

Hugs to all,
Rhonda D.

Oh Peaches,
My heart goes out to you. I am a cancer survivor, but never had to face anything like what you are going through. Just keep the faith, stay strong,  and may the Lord watch over you every step of the way. Keep us informed. What a lot to have to deal with at once. My prayers will have your name in them for sure. God Bless.

Topic: test to testimony (mass update)

Good Morning to all,

From every test comes a testimony and right now I’m in my test phase.

Yesterday I went to see another ENT for this mass issue. They will need to open my chest in the same manner as open heart surgery to remove the mass. He is the third doctor to say the original surgeons did not remove everything. They all believe that they nicked something and I started to bleed so they stopped and sewed me up. Now all they had to do was say we got in there ran into some problems and you need to have this checked at least once a year. There were four doctors involved in the original surgery, the surgeon, the assisting surgeon the endocrinologist, and my PCP, not one of them said anything to me. Now when I should be having my tummy tuck I am dealing with this. The doc I saw yesterday said he has been in medicine for 20+ years and has seen this about 10 times. The portion they left has continued to grow. He said when I wake up from surgery I will only be able to whisper but that should improve if not he can fix it. Now my concern there is I am a minister and a professional storyteller, I got to be able to speak above a whisper. His other concern is going back into an area someone else as already tampered with. I will probably lose the parathyroid glands as well and that means 6 calcium tablets a day for the rest of my life.  The doc says there maybe a few cancer cells but nothing to worry about there. This mass is in a shell and it doesn’t present like a cancer.  They also did a scope on my throat yesterday and my vocal chords and everything in that area is swollen.

After hearing all of this the doctor asked me if I was alright. My reply was, “God states he would never put more on me than I can handle, so I guess God must have a lot of faith in me."

The surgery will be done as soon as both doctors are available, the ENT and the thoracic surgeon.

I know God is able to keep me in perfect peace while I ride out this storm. When you guys visit the Lord in prayer please holla out my name a few times a day.

Congratulations!!! Well done. I will be using Dr. Moffet  for my tummy arms and boobs. He removed a cyst from my daughter KT's  eyebrow area. He did a great job you really have to look for the scar. He has a great personality too.
