Topic: surgery, buy ? do? ,,, in little rock
Hubby's surgery is scheduled for wednesday.  I am wondering what everyone would recommend having ready at home for when we get back?  Also the kids and I are going to be in Little Rock for the week and our middle daughter is turning 13 while we are there. I am looking for some cheap entertainment while we are there. They will drive me nuts being stuck in a hotel room and hospital room. I am not an adventurous driver so close to and easy to get to would be great! We are staying at the Ramada on Shackleford.

thanks for any help you can give.

ps any close good places you would recommmend to eat at? or would deliver to the hotel that doesnt cost an arm and leg....lol.

Topic: Two WOW moments in one day!
I'm far enough out that the WOW moments are coming fewer and farther between but today was a good day, lol.  First, my daughter kidded with me about my jeans.  She gave me a pair of hip-hugger bell bottom jeans she got in a lot off e-bay and when she saw I was wearing them, got flip with her dear old mom and said she was mad because she really didn't think I could fit in them (they were too small for her).  Well that made my day because just yesterday morning I got the Wii fitness out and dusted it off (yes, I've been lazy) and put in a little over an hour on it.  I love the yoga but have never been able to do any of the exercises where you have to stand on one leg unassisted.  Lo and behold, I was able to do them!  I'm psyched up now and ready to hop back on again today.  Are ya'll gearing up for the holidays yet?  I think that this year I will be able to get a day off for one of the holidays.  Not sure wether to take Thanksgiving or Christmas.  I'm leaning toward Thanksgiving though.  I love to cook and I'd like to invite by sisters to come down from Houston.  This will be the first holidays since my husband's mom passed away this summer so I'd like to be around to help distract my hubby.  He and I really miss her.

Topic: RE: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
Made some popcorn balls.  We are out in the sticks too.  The only trick-or-treaters we get are children of our friends.  Took some to work for those who had to work last night and a few to my daughter and her hubby.  Hope everyone had a safe Halloween.

Topic: Cool Store Find. . . .
Hello everyone!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it before, but I just wanted to let everyone know about the Drug Emporium store in Little Rock (on Rodney Parham).  They have sugar free DaVinci syrups for $5.88 for the 750 mL bottle AND they have a ton of flavors, not just vanilla and caramel like at walmart and big lots.  I bought 3 - peanut butter, german chocolate cake, and english toffee and tax and all it was $17 and some change.

They also carry my brand of protein powder (which I thought was a GNC exclusive) for less than half of what GNC charges - I think I paid like $44 for the 2 lb tub but could've bought it at Drug Emporium for $21.30!  They also have many different kinds of protein bars and powders and other WLS friendly items.

Anyway, check 'em out if you get out that way.  It'll save a bundle on shipping charges if you normally order these items online.

I'm  not putting candy out either. We live way out of town, never have trick or treaters out here. But I am going with my grandaughter. Anyway, have a good one.

I'm choosing not to give candy.  I know, I'm a poop, but Gary has to work and frankly, I can't afford to buy all that candy. Financially, and it's too tempting. So, I'm going to go to IHOP and have my grilled tilapia for dinner, then come home and label bottles and jars. Yipee.....

I'm in Springdale.  I haven't had my surgery yet, but am getting everything together.  I'm hoping to have VSG by the end of the year, maybe even sooner.

I am from Benton County. I used Dr Toby Broussard in Edmond, Oklahoma for my surgeon. I think it would be great if we could get an informal group of VSG together to meet for dinner once every month. Anyone out there interested?
