Topic: Update on my mom.
Taking an early lunch because I won't have time to later in the day.
SOOOO figured I'd stop in for a sec to tell y'all that my mom's tests came back that the lump in her throat/thyroid area was indicative of a goiter.
We're very pleased obviously.
Thanks everyone!

I am praying for you right now, as kids we think our parents are envinsable, so I'm praying for them as well. God is the great physician and will be with you through it all.
Topic: Post-Op Update!
Alright Ladies and Gents, This is my first day back at work after my surgery last Wednesday. I'm doing pretty good. Weighed myself again and I've lost another 5 pounds since last week. Feeling pretty excited about this whole thing and I'm anxious to start my walking.
It's a little difficult for me to comply with the "Walk every 40 minutes" requirement. I can physically do it (albeit my incisions burn and my whole stomach feels like it's on fire when I do!) It's just tough to steal away from my desk. I'm trying to be good, though!
So, for those of you who had a laproscopic procedure... did anyone tell you when it was okay to take off the dressings from your incisions? Are we supposed to leave those alone and just let them fall off? I think I might just call Dr. Bakers office later this afternoon and see about it. I forgot to ask when I was discharging from the hospital and it doesn't say anything about it on my discharge instructions!
Thank you ladies for all the well wishes last week. Made my day!

After my surgery I went into a coma for 2 months. I kept remembering , after I awoke, if he brings me to it-he will bring me through it. I will keep you in my prayers. There is no stronger healing power than the power of the Lord.
Topic: RE: Beautiful weather.
Hi ya'll! Yes, it is beautiful weather we are having now that the rain finally stopped. I spent Saturday morning cooking. Made a Mississippi Mud Cake and some Almond Roca for my boys and threw a corned beef brisket in the crock pot with potatoes, onions, and carrots. Sunday I baked an Italian Cream Pecan cake and another Mississippi Mud cake to take to work for a bake sale the dietary manager is having to raise money for a harpist to play during Christmas dinner at the facility. This afternoon I mowed two of our acres and watched gleefully as my hubby finally took down this huge rotten tree trunk with the backhoe. I am so glad to finally see it gone. I plan to plant a red maple to take it's place next spring. I'm back on Chantix. I started it on Friday. Wish me luck that I'll stay stopped this time. I think I have a ulcer. After the month of antibiotics for the salmonella, my pouch started hurting really bad. Felt like I wa*****hed in the stomach and then stabbed with a hot poker. Called the doc and they put me on 40mg Prilosec 2 x day and Cytotec 4 x day. It has stopped the pain. They only sent one month's worth so I am going to call and see what they say to do next. The Prilosec is eating my lunch. Neither of my insurances pay for it so I have to take two of them twice a day and it has been expensive. My energy level is finally back up after being sick. Feeling good. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Are you using the mask? If so, maybe you would do better with the nose piece instead.

I'm sure she told me she charged on a sliding scale depending on your income. Ask her when you call. She's a very nice person.

I saw her name on a list last night. Thanks. I think I can find the info. Does anyone know what it costs to have a psych eval for weight loss (without using insurance)?
