Our dear Peaches is home, safe and sound and resting. Hopefully she'll pop in and let us know how she's doing now that she's been sprung from Baptist.

Topic: Coughing Up Blood.
Okay, so today @ my follow-up appointment, I found out what the breathing trouble I had was caused by: negative pressure pulminary edema.  That's basically the medical term for a person's lungs being flooded with fluid.  They could actually hear it gurgling when they listened to me.  So could my mother, but I hadn't been awake enough yesterday before posting to talk to her about it.

So I left with oxygen last night.  This afternoon, after thinking that that was mostly behind me, I coughed up  more blood again this afternoon.  (That is the main symptom of negative pressure pulminary edema.)  So I still have fluid in my lungs.  So I'm going to sleep in the recliner at mom's next door again tonight so I can sleep with the oxygen again.

I got my bandages removed today.  My tummy is super flat compared to what it used to be.  My boobs are super big and super high.  In fact, I have a binder around the top of them to push them down because they keep trying to float up or whatever it is that they do.  So I have to press down on the tops of them a few times a day to keep them down.  I swear they'd be holding my chin up right now if not for this binder holding them down.  They are REALLY swollen.  In fact, they are the most swollen part of me.  They are hard with puffy.  My mom's are just now going down though and she's a week and a day out - so I expect mine to take about a week and a day too.

Oh well.

Evelyn, it doesn't have to be an original recipe.......I most likely will bring something I find from my favorite site:  Recipezaar.com

I'll mark it on my calendar and maybe my sister will be off from work and can take me.  I'm not sure if I have any wls-friendly recipes that are my own.  Most of what I have I found on either RNY board or allrecipes.com  But I do love the meatloaf muffins.  I found it right about the time I could start eating meat.  It was such a great hit with my roomie/partner that we make it once a month.  Meatloaf is absolutely the best thing around, and having it in a small muffin size is even better!!

Topic: RE: 3 days post op... please help me
Walking will really help.  I had my roomie/partner help me burp early on, I just couldn't do it naturally no matter how hard I try.  And he would just pat me on the back like a baby until I burped.  Yeah real romantic, I know, LOL.

Now when I  need to burp I either swallow a little air to force the burp out or I pat myself on the front of the chest.  But walking helps me alot even this far out when I am full of air.

Thanks for the full story, that's what I like to read when someone has plastic surgery done.  I want to know what I MAY or MAY NOT go through.  Plus I am curious to all things medical.

I am glad your home and doing better.  I can't wait to see how you look after everything is all healed and in its proper place.
