Topic: I'm home
Hello everyone, first let me thank all of you for your prayers, kind words and my visit from Susan. I came home Saturday night about 8:30. I am still in a lot of pain but at least I'm at home on my couch in pain. Every 4 hours my body lets me know it's time for the pain medication.
The mass was larger than the largest grapefruit more cantaloupe size and it weighed about a pound and a half. I need 4 units of blood and wore three chest tubes. I had three of the best doctors in the state. Based on what little information they were able to obtain from the previous idiots and what happened in this surgery I am a bleeder. Apparently this happened before and they just quit and sent me on my way. I have a very long slow recovery process ahead of me. I finally looked at my scar and it scared me. I have a scar half way around my neck and one from my neck to my belly button so much for a two piece swim suit. Oh one more thing my goal weight was 150 I now weigh 147 and that's down two pounds since I came home. Again thank you all so very much and please keep me in your prayers.

Topic: Health Tracker Updates In Time For The Holidays - Profile Integration and Workouts

Today we released a couple of major updates to Health Tracker just in time for the holidays (as we continue on the path to Health Tracker world domination :). These updates include, 1) Profile display of Health Tracker - If you choose to, you are now able to display/share your Health Tracker within your personal profile. This can be kept completely private, it can be shared with only your friends or with the entire ObesityHelp community. 2) My Workouts - You are now able to build and store custom workouts that can be used over and over again. My Workouts will allow you to log multiple exercise/activity items at one time so you don't have to search for individual exercises each time you want to log your activity or exercise session.

Profile Display of Health Tracker .

The profile display of Health Tracker includes Body, Food Log, Exercise Log and the Macronutrient Report. As mentioned above, this can be kept entirely private or you can choose to share your Health Tracker information with friends, family, your bariatric surgeon or other clinicians.

In order to see the profile view of Health Tracker, when viewing your profile or another member's profile, look for the Health Tracker link to the right of the avatar. If there is no Health Tracker link, the profile view of Health Tracker has been set to private.

The privacy settings for Health Tracker can be found in the "Settings" section of My OH. To access your Health Tracker setting click My OH at the top of any page on ObesityHelp, select "Settings" on the left, click the Health Tracker tab and choose the "Sharing" option. Or, just click here to access your Health Tracker Sharing options :)

Workouts

My Workouts makes it quick and easy to log routine exercise and activity. For those who perform similar exercises on a regular basis, with My Workouts you can create a workout consisting of a series of exercises you often perform and instead logging each exercise indivivudally, My Workouts allows to log a single item (a workout) that contains all of the exericses you have performed. Build it once and log it any number of times.

Under My Workouts you will see a list of workouts that you have created and saved. You can log workouts directly from My Workouts by selecting "I did this", choose the day and click "Save"

You can also search for workouts you have created directly from your Exercise Log.

Create your first workout now!

One other addition

For your convenience, in this release we have also made some changes to the account deactivation process. In case you ever have the need to deactivate your ObesityHelp account, you can access this function by clicking My OH at the top of any page on ObesityHelp, select "Settings" on the left, and under the "General" tab select "Manage". Instructions for deactivating your account can be found there.

Have a great Thanksgiving and look for more updates soon!

If you have any questions, comments or concerns about this release, please post them in this thread on the Main Message Board.

I do understand where your coming from Amy. And I would find that hurtful and rude as well, but I'm sure it wasn't his intention of course. He just didn't think about it and how something as simple yet delicious would effect you. It'll take some getting used to of course, like everything else. I'm looking forward to my surgery and going through all the changes, and on the other side, I'm not because of the things I may never get to taste or have again. But I'm ready. I can do it. And so can you! I know I don't know you that well yet, but I can sense you are strong and determined. Things will get better.

I am so angry and hurt right now and I have to vent here becaue I can't think of anywhere else where anyone else is gonna understand me... I'm probably wrong for feeling like this... but at the moment I just don't get it.....

I had RNY last week (13th) and I am following my diet pretty well. So the last few days my husband has decided that he needs to eat... so everything in the house is getting cooked. I was managing things pretty well and handling things as well as I could... but about an hour ago he decided to put in a huge batch of fudge brownies. The house filled up with this smell and then I had to sit and watch him eat it....

so I get angry, I start to cry and he didn't get why.... I understand that it is something that I may not ever be able to have again... I do... I really get that. But, I guess I see it as him being really rude and it hurts. Yesterday he made Rice Krispie treats and thats fine... that didn't bother me... BROWNIES.... are killing me!!!!!

((( okay, hoping I feel better now, thanks for listening )))

still really swollen - but I can tell already results are going to be great.  I'll take more when the swelling goes down where it's easier to see the difference in a pic.

the boobies will settle in soon and all will be good. Of course they are high or they would settle and be too low. I remember those days. I had a small in office re-lift in Nov of 08 after my orig implant/lift in 07. They had settled lower than we wanted so my dr perked em back up.

they will be hard and puffy and you will feel like you have a major life jacket on. Its all good tho. I did have a hard time driving as I had boobs on the side and the steering wheel was hard to turn...lol.....the side boobs were just swelling and it went away. I had a hard time being flat so I slept up right or on a wedge pillow. I am a tummy sleeper.....after about 3-4 mos I was able to be flat but it took a yr to get on my tummy and not feel like a teeter totter.

good luck with the whole thing and have a safe recovery and feel better

Topic: RE: Coughing Up Blood.
It's okay.  One of the good things about all this is that I have time to come on here!

I woke up with a migraine this morning which made me nausiated.  They give you phenregan (I know I'm butchering the spelling on that, but y'all get the idea.) to avoid nausia because you DO NOT want to throw up after these procedures.  All those stomach muscles contracting like that... I really almost want to cry thinking about it.  But I haven't had trouble with nausia until I woke up with this migraine.

BUT, thankfully I have vicoden on hand from this surgery, so I ate one with breakfast and sat very still until my head started to feel better.  So I'm fine now.

My super swollen breasts are what hurt now just because they are so swollen.  OUCH!

I had a gas feeling last night that bloated me up and couldn't expel it.  But now I don't know whether or not that was really gas or just a bloat that felt like gas - because I don't remember ever expelling it but the feeling is gone this morning.  The menstral cramp feeling is gone this morning too.  I still have the sensation like something is tearing inside me every once in a while.  I thought all that was weird until I posted about on the plastic surgery board on here and others chimed in that that was all normal.

I haven't coughed up any blood today and no more last night.  I still can't believe I had NPPE.  My research shows that only 1/2 of a 10th of a percent of people have it.  There is no common thread that makes people more at risk for it - although it is most likely to occur in healthy men in their 20s - 30s.  It can be caused by various things (not just anesthesia from surgery) like heart failure, trauma or even swimming.  Who knew?!?!?

Oh well.  I'm done with surgeries anyway.  I won't be able to afford to get my inner thighs done for years and by then I probably won't care enough to have it done.  BUT... I am going to look SOOOO smokin' hot when I heal from this (if I do say so myself).

I'll post before and after pics as soon as I can!
