Anyone with Nephrotic Syndrome (cause unknown) undergone weight loss surgery?

Hi, I was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and severe asthma in 2005. Of course, the cause is unknown. The only thing that has changed over the past few years in my weight. I've tried every diet... including a medically supervised diabetic diet via my endocrinologist since January. Bottom line, I'm always hungry and never feel full. My mother became morbidly obese in her late 30's as well as her mother. With that being said, the doctors want me to lose weight... I want to lose it and I'm fed up with yo yo diets that don't work. The damage to my kidneys right now is minimal so I'm ready to take action. So here's my question: I'm curious if anyone has ever had the surgery who has similar symptoms of nephrotic syndrome and if those symptoms went away after losing the weight? I'd like to know your experience. Thanks!
