I am having Lap Band sugery in April and was wanting to know if anyone has had any problems? Any advise? I really hope this works I would like to lose about 130lbs and I am worried this may not work. I know it will take longer this way. But because of work and I can't take off that long and I really think this is better for me. So any advise would help. I guess I am a little scared.

Hi April! I had Lap Band surgery January 12th. I used Dr. Clay Wellborn, and I adore him. They are so good to me. I have lost 30+pounds. Dr. Wellborn also repaired and extremely bad hiatal hernia, and took off a mole for not a penny more. I was scheduled to have RNY the week before, but I feel it was God's will that I changed to LapBand. Really, it is so much safer. You also will bounce back faster because it is less invasive. Go to www.arkansasobesitysurgery.com and check out Dr. Wellborn's site. The twins on his page spoke at his seminar. He did their surgery, and they will be doing a national commercial for Lapband. He was the first in the state to do them. Don't be scared. You have made a decision to improve your life and that is the first step. It won't take longer really if you walk and do what you are supposed to like not drinking with meals. That is your key!!! I don't regret it for a second. Good luck and let's keep in touch. I put jeans on yesterday that I could never wear!! ;) I was so excited! Take care!
