Thinking about Plastics

I'm about 18 months out now and the extra skin is really starting be an issue for me. My neck and shoulders hurt all the time from my saggy breasts and I have constant infections due to the sagging loose skin on my stomach. Has anyone had tummy tuck, and breast lift? If so, which surgeon did you use and were they willing to work with your insurance? My insurance is United Healthcare EPO and they will pay for reconstructive procedures if they are deemed medically necessary. I work for a large self-insured corporation and had no problems getting approved for my WLS, but I don't know if it will be as easy to get the reconstruction approved. My corporate HR rep made a phone call to UHC when they were giving me a hard time getting approval for WLS and I got a phone call the same day from UHC telling me I was approved. I'm hoping for the same support if I get any static trying to get my reconstructive procedures approved. Any and all replies are welcome.

I'm 1yr post op. I've been approved for a TT. My ins is Tricare Prime. My surgeon is Dr. Moffitt. I've heard from many that he is really good. So we'll see. LOL My tt is schedule for April 4. He's in little rock. MOM

HEy just saw your post on here and it caught my eye. Dr Moffett is awesome. He did my tt in oct 05 and did liposuction march 14 this year. you are in great hands good luck to you.

I called the plastic surgeons in NWA and none of them would even bill insurance. They all wanted payment up front (except for Dr. Atwood, on breast implants after mastectomy for patients on Medicare only; pretty specific). I may start looking near Little Rock or Tulsa for a plastic surgeon that will bill insurance. Good Luck Dawna

hello I had gastric bypass surgery nov 3rd 2003 then had a tt in oct 05 by Dr moffett. he is wonderful. So good in fact that I just has liposuction done feb 14 of this year. HE is a great Dr. very caring and willing to help. Ladonna takes care of all insurance and setting up surgery and she is great also. My ins paid for the tt because of the skin causing infections but i was on my own for the lipo. Goood luck to you. Dr moffett # is 663-4100
