NW AR support group
Hi Victoria! I'm so excited, we're neighbors!!! I live in between Centerton and Gravette and drive through Centerton every single day, I work in Bentonville. I had RNY Gastric Bypass a little over a year ago and LOVE this site but it has been a challenge finding anyone in our area to correspond with. I'd love to get to know you feel free to email me anytime.
BTW, there is a support meeting held at St. Mary's on the second Sunday of each month. I can't remember what time it starts, but could find out. I went once and have told myself that I need to start going regularly but always seem to forget about it until after it's over for the month.
Anyways, I look forward to getting to know you! Congratulations on your surgery!!!! Tammy
Dear Victoria,
I live in Fayetteville and I am 3 1/2 years post-op and I too am having a hard time finding support groups in NW Arkansas. I heard St. Mary's had a support group and Dr. Kendrick in Springdale has a support group. I went to the one at Dr. Kendrick's and I found it wasn't very good at all. I work at Washington Regional Medical Center and they are starting up a weight loss surgery clinic and support group for their patients, but that doesn't help us who still can not find a good support group. I can't even find a support group on line.
Victoria if you need to talk, I will give you any support that you need. I know there will be many questions you will need answered after your surgery. With all the people in the NW Arkansas area who has had the surgery, I wish everyone would get together and start a good support group.
Good luck with your surgery and if you need to talk just email me.

Hi Diana!
What a good name. My sister's name is Dyane so you remind me of her. I have found a support group at St Mary's in Rogers the second Sunday of every month at 2pm. If you want to meet for lunch/dinner or even better shopping give me a call 531-4248. I know we all need each other to succeed at this!
Take care and talk to you soon

We should all get together and start a support group. I live in Farmington and would love to attend support group meetings. Staying on track the first year was a piece of cake, but it's harder the further out you get. I would also love to have an exercise group or something so we could all get together and get in shape.
Hello Short N Sassy,
Love the name! I have found a support group at St Mary's in Rogers that is held on the second Sunday every month at 2pm. I can't wait to be a year out. I am at 3 months and it seems like a year will take forever. Patience has never been a strong point for me. If you ever want to get together or chat give me a call 531-4248.
Take care
Victoria
