El DORADO, ARKANSAS???

Hi Detroit Diva! I am from El Dorado and I live out in the Parker's Chapel Area. I worked for years as a medical transcriptionist at Warner Brown and UMC and even after they merged. I am white but I have many African American friends. One of my very best friends just died. We buried her last Wednesday. We met at Warner Brown Hospital in 1981. Her name was Dorothy Dixon Thomas. How long have you been away from the South Arkansas area? Good luck with your upcoming sugery. I am having lap band in Texarkana sometime in late April or early May. My husband works at Lion Oil Co here and so I am covered by BCBS of Mississippi but the company is self-insured and refuses to pay for WLS; but I am also disabled for the past two years because of psoriatic arthritis and so I will be eligible for Medicare on 4/1/06. I went to a seminar in Texarkana last Thursday nite (2/9) and saw the doctor's insurance guru the next day and she said I will have no trouble getting Medicare to pay for it since I am under 65 and have a BMI of 37 with comorbidities of diabetes, hypertension and asthma. I was BORN at Warner Brown!!! We usually come home 1-2 per year, Ihope to come that way in June, 4-6 weeks after my surgery. Iwas born and raised most of my childhood years in JUNCTION CITY, I aleays ask abot ElDorado, cuz Juction is a one light town and no one has ever heard of it.LOL If my doc gives the ok. We'll see.
