Dr. Jones?

Wow, I am getting some great info on doctors in Arkansas and I think I'm getting really close to securing this surgery WITHOUT having to go to Mexico! Does anyone have any experience with Dr. Jones in Jonesboro? I've gotten a tip on him from another OH member and it sounds promising. Specifically: 1.) Professional reference 2.) does he perform lap RNY 3.) self pay costs, financing,etc. 4.) hospital he works with info (i think it's St. Bernards in Jonesboro) 5.) personal experience with Dr. Jones and surgery Thanks, everyone. I would be careful about JOnesboro I got sick on a trip and ended up in a hospital there and it was a very bad experience. I would not go bac to any hospital in Jonesboro I dont think they are very good.

Hi Victoria, I just now seen your post or I would have posted sooner. I had Dr. Jones in Oct. 2004. He was great. He is very professional but not so much that you feel uncomfortable with him. He is the type to lay it all out for you but make you feel at ease. He just comes in and talks to you like you are a real person not like a number. I did have some complications, but it wasnt his fault, you can read my profile. I used St. Bernards hospital and was very please with my experience. The nurses were fairly nice and it was very clean. All in all I would definitly recommend Dr. Jones. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldnt use anybody else. You can email me if you have anymore questions. Good luck and God Bless. Hi, I am not a patient of Dr. Jones's but I live in Jonesboro and use St. Bernards because thats the only hospital our insurance will pay at. I have to say that the emergency department is terrible and if you want to stay in the hospital over night for no reason, go to their er department. Now I have had four surgeries there and the surgical floor is just wonderful. They take really great care of you! What alot of people don't know is, they send out a survey to patients who have used the hospital and depending on your comments, the staff, including doctors, can get in serious trouble. Some of the doctors have even lost their jobs due to several bad survey's being returned. (I know this cause I have a few friends who work there) I didn't use Dr. Jones because I had the lap band and he didn't start doing lap bands till the first of December. In fact my surgeon came here to teach him how to do them, but what I have heard and also from my family doctor he is really a great surgeon. Best of luck to you! Amy
