Dr. Lambert?
Does anyone know anything about a Dr. Lambert in Batesville? Specifically:
professional reference
cost of procedure for self pay
info about hospital he works with
contact info for him/hospital
which procedures he does
Thank you so much for any help, I'm looking desperately for a doctor close to Missouri that I can afford. I will be paying cash and I'm trying to find a way to avoid going to Mexico for the procedure. I'm perfectly comfortable with the doctors that I've found in Mexico, but it would logistically be easier to be close to home.
Thank you!
Victoria Kelsay
My wife and I had our surgeries with Dr Lambert. He is great. The White River Mediacal center is fantastic too. They know how to take care of us. I had my wls october of 2003 and it cost 25,000 and the insurance paid it all. Self pays then were about 20.000. Doctore Lambert will allow you to make payments on his fees, the hospital probalbly will too. Contact his office and talk to them. I lived in West Plains, Missouri when I had my surgery and several people from West Plains had theirs surgeries with doc Lambert. Go to doc Lambert page on this site to find out more info. Doc Lambert mostly does lap rny. You might get lap band done cheaper. Have you thought about that. After a couple years they say the outcome is about the same and it is less risky. Doc Lambert office has done many self pays. I know people who have come from Louisiana and Oklahoma because Arkansas is cheaper. My cardiologist told me not to have wls because he thought I would die on the operating table. I did ok and I was sick last April with an ulcer and the docs here in Branson said Doc Lambert work was great. My pouch was fine the ulcer was in the part of my stomach I dont use anymore. Doc Baker is good but he only does open rny, which is harder to recover from. He may be cheaper I dont know. Play lets make a deal with them and see what happens.

Hi,
Just joined today, so not sure if you have found a surg. yet. I had open RNY with Dr. Lambert at white River Medical Center on October 31,2005. He preferrs to do lap surg. but I had too much scar tissue and fatty liver.
The hospital and hospital nurses are wonderful!! They treated me so wonderful. Dr. Lambert is very nice, my only complant with him is you have VERY limited contact with him. I saw him about two weeks before the surgery ( took 9 months to get insurance approval) I saw him a brief sec before surgery, I was readmitted about a week after discharge due to major infection and have had to be reopened and still am although it is starting to close(thank God) He was there to start a central line and reopen for 2nd surgery. I think I have seen him once in office since! This cost far too much money to have such limited contact.
My main complant is his nurse Jerry. She is damn evil!!!!! I was reopened big time and if I requsted pain med she treated me like a junkie, I just hurt now dont want to deal with her. She talks very rude in most conversations and I can't stand her. She makes more decessions than the doctor.
This is just my experence. I would have gone to Searcy if I could do it again.
Just wanted to give you another Dr to check into - Dr. Gibbs out of Little Rock - He's very good and up front about everything- He also does self pay and mostly does his surgeries LAP unless your over 500#. The hospital he uses is Baptist Little Rock - Most of the nurses on the 6th floor (which is where we are taken) have had this surgery and they are very sweet and understanding.
