Merry Christmas from a Newcomer!
I'm a newbie to this board and an Arkansas transplant from No. Illinois! Loving the area, people and the weather here in Harrison! Notice that this board is pretty much inactive and would like to get it up and going. Anyone out there interested? Again, Happy Holidays to y'all and hoping to hear from anyone and everyone frequently in the New Year!
Hi I live in Branson Missouri. The Missouri board is a little more active. I had my surgery in Batesville, Arkansas so I visist this board too. For your info there is a support group meeting in Springfield the second monday of the month at 5 30 pm at St Johns surgical clinic in Springfield. My wife and I go sometimes. Doc Lambert has his support group meetings the third thursday of the month in Batesville. I am over 2 years post op and have regained some so I am going back to basics. My wife is about 1 and a half years post op and is doing real good. Welcome to the area.
Hi David, Thanks for the reply and the Support Group info. Hopefully after we settle in there'll be time for a visit or two! I'm 17 mos. post op and have slowed down to a snail pace for losing! I'm thinking more water and more protein will help. Got a little off track during and after the move. You're smart to get back to basics and that weight will drop right off. Congrats to your wife on her success!! I love being a loser! Hope to keep in touch! Connie
Hi "MOM",
Thanks for the welcome and it's great to hear from you! Sounds as though your surgery is working just fine for you! Isn't it wonderful? I can't begin to tell you how much it's changed my life! For one thing, we certainly wouldn't have relocated to Arkansas if I hadn't opted for the surgery! I would be lucky to even be walking! BUT, today, I did some after Xmas shopping in the morning AND THEN mowed the yard this afternoon! I'm feeling my Cheerios! Anyway, I could go on and on! Hope to hear from you and others more and more. Tonight will be an early one for me, and then . More warm weather coming tomorrow and I want to be ready for it! Take care!
Connie
