HI, I am having surgery with Dr. Gibbs in 20 days!!! YEAH!!! Any way I am wondering what he requires at his pre-op testing? I already posted this on the main message board and then found that there is one just for Arkansas. I am so excited:0 thanks for any info. Jennifer 361 and waiting to be a loser

Congrats on your surgery! I had Dr. Gibb's as well. I had the same experience as the other person who posted. He does not do a lot of testing, just lab work, unless your history is positive for some stuff he thinks may warrent special attention. Tonia

I had Dr Gibbs (who I think is great by the way as long as you follow the guidelines) in Dec 03 (almost 2 yrs out) for a lap roux-n-y. My pre-op was blood work unless you have other co-morbities. I have lost 145 lbs and have been at goal weight for approx 6 months now. Good Luck-- it's almost here! Tanya

I used Dr. Gibss, he;s the greatest. Couldn't have asked for any better treatment. His staff is wonderful also. I had my surgery RNY lap, 7-23-2004, I'm down 160 lbs. I started at 389 and am now 129, went from a size 26 to an 8-10. Feeling great and only wish I had done this sooner. Dr. Gibbs will take great care of you, Good luck and see you on the losing side.
