Hi, Im new here!

Today, Im 38 days post-op. I have been reading post daily, it is so helpful! I had my surgery 6/21/05 at St Benards hospital in Jonesborro, AR. by Dr. Bruce Jones. I live in Paragould. Today I weight 231, down from 267, so far so good! The past week I seem to have slowed down. is there anyone else expierienceing this at this stage? Sounds like you are doing great. Slow downs are pretty normal. We all tend to panic, but your body just needs to catch up with itself. Make sure you are getting in your protein so your body does not think it is starving. Best of luck to you! Joy

HIJACK Hello joy Just to let you know I will be in North Little Rock Ar. Aug. 12th.Will be going to Clarksville Ar.for a family reunion.I have not seen some of my family in 32 years.But it will be different this time because my dad and mother will not be there.My dad went to be with the Lord Nov.1995 and my Mom went July 20th 2004.We miss them so much.This will be tears of joy and sadness all in one.We are going to this family reunion to see these cousins I have not seen since my grandparents passed.My sisters(Kim and Cheryl) will be comming.Our kids and hubbys have to stay home Would love for you to chat with you My e-mail is [email protected] pat memaw199554

Good morning Peggy I have no idea where Paragould Ar. is? I had my surgery Nov.24th 2004.I was in the same boat you were in.It is normal to do that.You are doing great. I started 246lbs(5 foot 1 inches) Now i weigh 169lbs. Doctors goal is 150lbs.(age 51)My goal is 135lbs.I hope I get there.But I thank God I have not had a bit of trouble.I feel so good.Keep in touch with a transplanted Alabama. pat memaw199554

Hi Peggy! I'm from Paragould as well. I'll be having my surgery on September 19th in Batesville by Dr. John Lambert. My aunt and uncle both had their's done through Dr. Jones, but he doesn't accept Medicare so I had to move a lille further from home to git-r-done.
