DEATH OF A MEMBER-Thresea Maddox
My name is Stephine Phillips, my aunt Thresea Maddox was a member of this site. She had an Rny done in 2004 and started to have complication from 3 days out and they continued until her death on July 1 2005 due to the complications. Thresea had posted may messages about some of her more minor problems and many responded with usual information and warning. I wanted to thank each one of you for your kind words, concern, and attempts to help. Thresea had went back to her surgeon numerous time, been in the hospital over 15 times, been to Florida to see a surgeon, been to Texas to see a surgeron (hooping to have the surgery reversed) but noone realized how ill she was. She did find help back at home with a general surgeon willing to attempt the reversal (knowing it could be deadly, but she had no other choice), but before he would do the surgery, she had to get her nutrion to a certain level and her blood proteins up. Thresea was pleased to know that she may have the chance to return to a normal life, but before she was able to get to a semi-state of health, she found herself in the hospital one last time. It would be to lenghty to tell you all the "problems/complication" but it ended with her death on July 1 2005. I understand many of you have had the surgery and are doing great, and I am thankful. Please remember to seek help if things do not seem right to you. And if ;you have not had the surgery yet, use caution when choosing a surgeon and hospital. Again, thank you to all of you for the kind words and attempts to help. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers.
